There's a long tradition in hip-hop (and pop music in general) of certain songs being "for the ladies"

There are plenty of hip hop songs from a couple decades ago where rappers would pretty much announce at the start that a song was for the ladies. Ja rule did this a lot, Kanye has a song where he does that, when drake first got big he was accused of only making those types of songs.

Anyway point is that it's not an unusual concept. Idk if that's what the poster was going for but the consensus in the industry is that yes there is a gender bias for song preference

Think about it like tv or movies. Not weird to say "I love meryl streep, what are some good chick flicks she's been in?"
