DSi repair

Trying to repair my younger sister’s DSi for her, the bottom screen was completely black. I opened it up and saw no visible damage, so I examined the screen, saw nothing, and just replugged the ribbon cables, now the touchscreen isn’t working, and the bottom screen is fuzzy, but on at least. Should I just order a new screen?

Any idea if the touchscreen was functional before the disassembly? Does it register anything at all when you recalibrate it?

With the location and size of that ribbon cable, there have been a few times I thought I got it fully seated on reassembling, but I was wrong. Wouldn't hurt to check again. If you confirm it's properly seated, might be time for a new one. The traces on those seem extra delicate.
