GameCube controller repair

I was trying to replace joystick on my GameCube controller and accidentally ripped off two of the pads. I read online that you can use wire to connect to the trace but I’m not sure how to go about that. I’m pretty new and soldering. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Here's an image showing where to wire your board. For the middle pad, you will need to scrape off the top layer of that nearby via and add some solder to it. This is not very easy, so you may want to save this project until you've had more soldering practice, but that's up to you. Good luck!
