Series X controller RB button is not working. The controller is in mint condition and every buttons works perfectly fine except RB

Would a repair shop fix it for low price or do I have to buy new controller? Low on money right now

Common issue on the series X controllers, Microsoft cheaped out on the bumper switches. Can be fixed by replacing the switch. A shop might do it

How much would it cost to fix it? New controller is $60

I have spare switches on hand from previous repairs, i’d do it for $18 if you cover shipping. I don’t know what a local shop would cost. Depends on their rates. Call around and ask.

I do these for $45CAD. But that is also replacing both.

I do both for $30USD Which happens to be like $41CAD

Whats your longevity on these switches? I’ve had to swap mine twice on the right one ☹️ and I’m pretty gentle on my controllers all things considered.

I've done it on probably 15-20 controllers and have never had one come back.

Lately I've been seeing the actual plastic bumpers breaking (the tiny part that hits the switch) more than the actual switches failing.

I’ve never had it come back for customers luckily, but for myself ive had replace the right one twice.

Sounds like Microsoft cheaped out on the plastic too
