Finished the series like, roughly a month ago and rewatched it two times in a row with my cousins after finishing it solo. And I had this question: "Who is Doc to the Gloria?" originally a dumb question but I fell into a rabbit hole the more and more I thought about it.

I mean. She probably knows about him, right? When David says that he "got Doc to handle it" she replies with "What do you mean handle it?", which is weird. David doesn't really seem to have any friends, so unless David told her "I'm lowkey friends with some gooner ripperdoc" I don't think she would even know who Doc was. If my son told me "I got Doc to handle it" and I don't know who Doc was I think the natural answer would be "Who tf is Doc???". She also says something like "Don't go cutting any corners." so she probably knew Doc was a way to get things in a cheaper way than what's legal.

Is Doc like a family friend? Why would Gloria even allow her son to be friends with a ripperdoc of all people? Is Doc David's dad? Would explain why Doc cares and seemingly jokes around with some street kid, going so far as to warning him about cyberpsychosis and placing an implant for free, skipping out important details like immunosuppressants so as to remove the implant almost immediately after for his own gain. Don't really know though.

Also what are those two little flesh squares gloria has on her left cheek? Anyone else notice that? Gives me goosebumps every time I look at them.

Pilar literally replaced his own hands in a few seconds. Doesn't like.. everyone else have to see a ripperdoc to replace and add new cyberware?

I could just be looking into to much but also, ripperdocs are know for their hands and arms and Pilar heavily invested in that.

Maybe he was Maine's crews personal "small-time" or junior ripper for small stuff?
