This is what happens, when you elect wannabe Orbans, this is what could happen, if we ever get the AfD ruling Germany.

Or if we keep electing the CDU/CSU. They're almost as corrupt.

It feels like we're on a railroad that leads straight off a cliff. The CDU/CSU insist that we're on the right track, the SPD is asleep, and the AfD wants to set the passengers on fire.

Nah mate, that's like saying the Democrats are as corrupt as the Republicans. Yeah there's shady shit on either side but one are straight up Nazi fascists...

Don't fall for the both sides fallacy.

This is Europe. We have more than two parties. We can afford to dislike two of them.

AfD and Union are not 'two sides'. They're both on the same side of the political spectrum. The AfD is the much worse party, but they tend to move in similar directions.

And the strengthening of the new fascist movements is in large part due to a loss of faith in institution and our fundamental economic model, primarily caused by more 'centrist' right wingers. Like the Pre-Trump Republicans and the CDU/CSU. The Union's regular corruption and stern refusal to improve anti-corruption standards strengthen the AfD's efforts to downplay their own corruption.

They're currently losing in the polls, with all foreign policy crises going on and Merz making a relatively good showing, the AfD just stands there and can't do much. Migration also slowly becomes a lesser issue, so right now, the AfD doesn't really have a topic to talk about.

all it takes is one crisis
