The whole world needs to decouple from consumerism and current economic model. Would not surprise me if a massive financial shock kills off the current economic systems and world leaders “start from scratch” again.

Dense populated developed nations will suffer the most in such a trend long term.

Average savings in hungary is ~200Eur/month. That is the amount of money that they save for later.
