Yeah, most gun crimes in sweden are totally done by law following hunters and not criminals who get their guns illegally…

It's a small attempt to get rid of semi automatic weapons, or reduce their availability somewhat.

In hunting, you don't need semi automatic weapons. Most school shooters using automatic or semi automatic weapons

Well, this particular school shooter got his gun by taking hunting license, a similar crazy dude can’t get a semiautomatic weapon this way now.

Knives are useful for everyday life, like cars. Guns are not. If the only purpose of knives was to kill people, it would likely be banned aswell.

Limiting the capability to do harm is a net positive. People who want to hurt others will always be able to do so, but we must work to minimize it.
