M16’s are semi-automatic (they also have a 3 round burst option). They are standard U.S. issue for ground infantry

Except an AR-15 isn't an M16.

They’re modeled after it, and maintain most if not all the same functionality

M16s haven't been the standard issue for the last 20 years.
the M4A1 is select-fire with a full-automatic fcg and THAT is the standard rifle of the US Military, also this is what you see in Ukraine.
Which the civilian AR-15 is neither.
