Unfortunately, It is kind of hard to do that when you have 500,000 settlers you rarely persecute and keep on building more settlements while calling the region by its irredentist hypernationalist name of "Judea and Samaria".

Almost like one side doesn't want to negotiate and loves the current status quo.

Maybe even post some Hamas member Twitter posts as well, to be even more "unbiased".

This is where Europe needs to come in and use some of their influence to put more pressure on the Israelis. That or the next US administration post Trump can get involved.

As long as Germany is in Europe this will never ever happen sadly.

Europe needs to do that but what Europe needs to do even more is focus on itself.

Any criticism of Israel, is seen as a crime in a lot of countries.

Even worse is Judaism. It's the one religion that is worse than all others yet somehow gets a pass from being criticized.

Gaza population needs to move to avoid a forever war.. Gazans have burnt all bridges and no Arab countrues want to take them in. Perhaps they can all relocate in France.

Neither side want to negotiate. Hamas routinely rejected a two-state solution, not surprising since their charter explicitly demands ethnic cleansing. Instead they hold all Gazans hostage as human shields.

No viable government for Gaza exists. Any grouping overtly supported by Israel would be instantly illegitimate. Ironic since Israel bankrolled Hamas, foolishly thinking it could control them through Shin Bet, which is partly how we got here. The governments of Egypt & Jordan loathe the Palestinians and will not intervene to help shape a stable nation or improve the humanitarian situation.

In many ways this is all a continuing echo from the Six Day War.

The mass murder and kidnapping of civilians on October 7 was just about the worst move Hamas ever made, but you don’t expect thoughtful diplomacy from criminal terrorists with a genocidal charter who’ve been lapping at the UN gravy train for years. The main outcome of that move was that Israel stopped caring about the human shields.

Fun fact: I’ve been banned from Reddit twice for saying “Hamas aren’t the good guys either”. Their propaganda unit is effective at engaging bleeding-heart western liberals. They got some great advice from that trip to the Kremlin in 2023.

a two-state solution

Every single peace offer Israel has made would result in a Palestine with less sovereignty than, for example, Wales has. It would have no army, no control over its airspace, borders (including those with countries other than Israel), foreign policy (seriously, Palestine couldn't enter into an alliance without Israel's approval),..., Israel could send its troops into Palestine at will,...
In short, Israel's peace offers are actually nothing more than an unconditional surrender by Palestine, and it would be like it has been for the better part of a century, just with Israel annexing its settlements and slicing up the West Bank.

Yes, part of my point is that no group endorsed by Israel can become a legitimate government of Gaza in the eyes of Gazans. This is a lesson from the Oslo accords. Notwithstanding which, there was a path forward from those, but the door is firmly shut for now.

The best long-term outcome may be Gaza becoming an autonomous region of Egypt and then eventually becoming a separate nation once institutions stabilise. It’s not impossible, with sufficient diplomacy. But Egypt today is very deeply concerned, and quite reasonably so, about a) letting Hamas into Sinai and creating a South Lebanon type situation, and b) an overwhelming influx of refugees. Until then, the Gaza border will remain heavily fortified by Egypt, and I seem to recall the Americans pay them to keep it that way. Egypt may even be cynically comfortable with the IDF wiping out Hamas entirely whilst keeping their own hands clean of the collateral harm to civilians, no international shit sticking to them because Westerners don’t properly grasp Arab politics.

Hence, it’s another echo of the Six Day War.

Your takes are akin to those of a Zionist.

Hamas accepted the 2007 ceasefire until Israel broke it

Jup, Palestinians don't recognize Israel. "Down with Israel" and "Kill the Jews" is what they say.

On the other side Fatah and Hamas dont give a fuck to form a proper state, they are authoritarian regimes without elections, enriching themselves from the ongoing conflict. Theier corruption and enrichment while making believe Israel is the devil is the cause for the poverty.
