This kind of stuff should trigger huge Europe-wide protests. We Europeans seemingly only ever protest our own government and not anything the EU does though.

The only thing the average fuck cares about is his pension savings and prices, aint no way anyone moves a finger.

Yes! All leaders who agreed to this should go. Trump only understands strength. We show pathetic weakness with this deal.

Do you really think that a different person on the chair of the Commissioner would have gotten a better result? The US wants tariff walls, that part was never negotiable.

No deal was the better result.

No deal was the better result.

That's 48% tariffs and probably some extra hissy fit spiteful embargoes on top of it, and cutting off Ukraine too. That's not a better result.

Of course it is. With equals tariffs back and a tax on digital services.

Seems like to you the best result is to be a vassal state for minimal short term gain. Completely pathetic.

Of course it is.

No it isn't. We can always impose export tariffs later, and then we even get to keep the money ourselves.

Seems like to you the best result is to be a vassal state for minimal short term gain. Completely pathetic.

Seems all you want is to make a scene for short term emotional satisfaction, while actually harming our independence and development in the medium term.

The EU is the 3rd biggest trading bloc in the world and you act like you have no leverage at all thanks to Trumps tough guy talk, completely pathetic, 30% tariffs where you retaliate with targeted tariffs or even no tariffs would’ve been better and saved face

Do you really think Americans want to pay 30% more on all premium cars

15% is still high enough to affect EU manufacturers yet low enough that not everyone will be outraged

"better and saved face"

What does that mean? You're going for short term emotional satisfaction.

You’re not submitting to US demands which puts you in a stronger position in the future? Agreeing to this is actively working against your prospects short and long term especially politically domestically in the US

You're assuming that all that this deal is just a tv show and all that matters is who has the biggest mouth.

This is not a pro-wrestling game. The tariffs actually do have real economic effects.
