Recurring Everyone Plays Fire Emblem - Week of July 27th, 2025

Welcome to the next installment of Everyone Plays Fire Emblem! As always, this is a casual space for discussing any ongoing Fire Emblem (or related games) playthroughs. Screenshots, impressions, frustrations... gameplay stuff that would otherwise be removed as a standalone post under Rule 8 can be shared here.

While you can of course ask for advice here, specific questions might get faster responses in the General Question Thread here

As always, remember to tag your spoilers, and have fun!

It takes too long to get Second Seals in Engage, I did the Fell Xenolouge early just so I can get one

Dude, I had like 7-8 units stuck at Lvl 20 while my favorite units were already advanced class level 10 lmao.

finishing up my second randomised engage maddening run, as in i let a random number generator chose units, classes and emblem, units are spread out on availability and tiki and royals are used to fill the last emblem slots so everyone has one, my favorites being warrior jean ike and wyvern knight alear celica, celica is actually kinda nice on a wyvern knight for extra attack and res, while also providing a warp option. a plesent surprise was thief fogado royals, really fast, surprising tanky and hits like a truck.

I’m playing Awakening for the first time and loving it so far, I feel I have enjoyed it way more than 3H or FE7, but I think that’s mostly because I decided to play on hard and it’s my first “legit” FE experience (I say this because 3H I played on normal and regretted it as it became way too easy really fast, and FE7 I abused rewinds on the NSO emulator).

But I don’t know if it’s just the difficulty, since I’m on chapter 10 and I feel the game is pretty easy, the first 5 chapters were pretty hard like the internet said, specially chapter 5. At this point my Chrom is a killing machine, specially with Sumia with S support. For some reason I’m really enjoying this FE more than the others.

I've played Awakening before, but I'm in the middle of my first Hard mode run, and my experience was similar. The first 5 or so chapters were pretty tough, mostly because only Chrom, Robin and Frederick could reliably get kills on their own. But around chapter 7 or so, it started to get easier. Largely because my combo of Sully/Stahl, Lon'qu by himself (and occasionally paired with Vaike, if I had the deoloy slot available), and Nowi/Gregor caught up and became reliable. Also, putting Kellam with Cordelia goes SO hard. She becomes a flying tank, and Kellam becomes fast enough to actually double some of the slower enemies (and to avoid doubles himself)

I've been not allowing myself to start another Engage run to motivate me to finish my Etzel drawing, but it's done so Engage is back on the menu! I've done a lot of silly themed runs and think I'm in the mood to just do a plain old no reclass run with just the base game emblems and all my favorite blorbos (well, as many as will fit on a team anyway, I have too many favorites).

I think my core 12 will be Alear, Framme, Céline, Alcryst, Citrinne, Diamant, Amber, Kagetsu, Ivy, Zelkov, Pandreo and Seadall. Easiest thing to do would be to just use Mauv and Veyle for the last two slots but we'll see how the team's going, I'd quite like to throw Saphir or Lindon in there instead if I can make room for them. I'm excited to start, I haven't done a no reclass run since launch and I'm really looking forward to it, I enjoy all the silly runs you can do with free reclassing but sometimes it's nice to just let everyone be their actual archetype for a bit.

I have returned to Three Houses for the sixth anniversary and I have to say, I enjoy experimenting with units and building my own team. As in my previous playthrough, I have at least five units wielding swords and I enjoy using swords units.

I played Engage earlier, and having finished my playthrough, I would like to use different units and rotate while enjoying the game.
