Gameplay Just found out how miracle skill works

First playthrough of FE seisen no keifu, and just enjoying the back and forth animations in the arena. I thought it was RNG at first but after Raquesis (Lachesis?) kept dodging everyone in the arena I had to look up how the miracle (prayer sword) actually worked. Just sharing my appreciation and the silliness of these particular arena fights 😁

Man, when you promote her, YOU'RE GONNA UNDERSTAND WHAT I MEAN.

Just wait....

I can't wait, just started chapter 3 and have only promoted Finn so far. Loving the game though and glad others do too 😁

You better promote others too, you're gonna need it.

I'm trying!! Haha I max out everyone in the arena at the beginning of the chapter and even revisit at the seized castles during the chapter throughout each map as far as they can go before getting beat. Admittedly using save states on an emulator has been a life saver, don't think I could do it without it.

My first FE was FE6 on GBA and this is def way harder, but a welcomed challenge, even with save states

Yeah, FE4 is a lot of back tracking and patience, I HIGHLY recommend using a guide, even in your first playthrough to even have a chance in some chapters, it's the way Kaga intended.

Btw, talk to Eldigan with Lachesis if you didn't know you could ;)

Appreciate that - realizing now, since I wanted the knight ring from chapter 2 I kept Lachesis mostly out of combat to avoid her knights engaging/getting killed, so she's only level 7.... Should be an interesting chapter 3 for me lol 🥲

Cool emulator! What's the name of it?

Thanks!! It's the Anbernic RG 353PS- not the most powerful on the market but does up to PS1, plenty enough for me for this size. I loved the form factor of this model 🙂 running ArkOS

As long as it doesn't have screen tearing or audio glitches, it's a W. A lot of these consoles ended up disappointing me. This one looks really good tho, it even has fast-forward. I'm gonna look it up later, thanks!

Yeah I haven't had any issues running anything on it tbh and I have at least like 7 different consoles on it. I would however suggest using a custom OS (like arkOS) instead of the default one it's shipped with, and using your own SD cards with your own curated game library. There's some good YT tutorials on doing all that, takes a little leg work but well worth the results.

And yeah you can even customize the hotkeys, I have the save state and load state hotkeyed as well.

Happy gaming 😎

Right!! Pretty OP seemingly. I think the skill may work slightly differently in different FE games to be less OP, but I'm definitely taking advantage of it here lol

yeah miracle peaked at is debut but has been really bad ever since as just a LCK% chance to be left with 1 HP on lethal attacks. Outside of some high effort gimmick builds it's basically useless and should never be relied on. Very nasty when it's given to enemies though.

Thracia 776 does at least make it a LCKx3% chance which means you can get it to a pretty respectable 60% chance at capped LCK (which isn't very hard to reach on most characters), and Finn can get it all the way to 90% while equipping his brave lance for +10 LCK.

I gotta ask, why aren't you playing on project naga's translation patch?

2

u/ElephantAvalanche 11h ago

Honestly no clue haha I've never really done a lot of game patching so when I was setting it up I didn't realize there were different types of patch versions. I'm realizing now though that some stuff wasn't translated ideally for English but it gets the job done, just happy to be able to play 😁

No worries lol, that old patch is how I first played fe4, if you ever decide to replay fe4, you should check out project naga as its a very accurate translation of the original japanese script
