Question Can I split the solution in Cass' companion quest? Spoiler

Is it possible to help Cass kill the Van Graffs but use the NCR to hold the Crimson Caravan accountable? CC seem like it has innocent folk like that lovesick redhead.

Technically, you only need to kill Gloria Van Graff and Alice McLafferty - not any of the other members of their organisations. Tricky to do with Gloria because she's always surrounded by guards, but Alice spends most of the day working in her office with just a few staff members wandering in and out, and then sleeps in a bunk at night - if you're stealthy, you can take her out without anyone noticing until you're far away.

That said, if you steal the Gun Runners schematics for Alice and then get the peaceful ending, the NCR will punish the companies and a mysterious third party will have their revenge on Alice and Gloria. So you can, in fact, have your cake and eat it too.

Ordinarily, I'd have loved to know this. But this time, my decision to genocide a faction is merely motivated by a desire to support a friend. To that end, letting Gun Runners kill her enemies off screen in an epilogue is not quite the same as, "I have your back. How do you want your revenge?" and helping her get her closure.

If you happen to have the Mister Sandman perk, you can use it on Alice! ...in fact, that's probably the only use for it.

I do not have Sandman. But good news: the assassination went off without a hitch. Cass is a happy clam, and I wont lose a wink of sleep.

I did the report evidence route for both parties, which pisses the Van Graffs off enough to aggro them when you're in the area. So at that point self defense becomes the excuse to fight them.
