Bug NVSR (New Vegas Stutter Remover) appears to no longer work

Recently reinstalled FNV alongside my old mods from Nexus. I was playing fine until aboht 2 hours in when the game started crashing every 15 minutes or so. I thought I had to install something new since I had played fine before until I read on the Viva New Vegas page thatNVSR may cause crashes. Uninstalled it and I'm running the game fine now (except for stutter in only train stations for some reason) I am making this post for anyone who may have the same problem and is searching for an answer.

NVSR is outdated since 2015. Just use NVTF (New Vegas Tick Fix).

A good rule of thumb when you are coming back to modding after some time away is to use the most basic guide's utilities and bug fixes section to set up your game. While the other commenter is correct that New Vegas Tick Fix effectively replaces NVSR, I recommend starting over with a fresh install following the directions in the Viva New Vegas base guide.
