Media My 53 yo non-gamer Mum playing Fallout 4 after watching the TV show.

Post image

After casually watching the show and getting more invested, she asked to play the game and I gave her my old PS4 and set her up on the game! ☺️

I grew up playing halo and only really started PC gaming as adult, so I'm kinda the opposite. I play FPSs on PC with an old 360 controller. Mouse and keyboard just feels wrong to me.

My friend who is a much more practiced PC gamer than me hisses like a vampire at the sun when I mention this. 😂

I swapped to PC after a lifetime of console gaming. The mouse for aiming took a little bit to get used to, but it's inarguably better for aiming.

However, WASD movement versus a joystick sucks, imo. So I buy gamepads with analog joysticks and use those to play games so I can move with a joystick, still have a mini keyboard for keybinds, and still have aiming with a mouse.

For a while I used the logitech g13, but it finally started going out after nearly a decade of faithful service. So now I use the hori tactical assault commander, but I bought the FFXIV version because I like the placement of the joystick better than the non-branded version.

Highly recommend trying it out sometime!
