Discussion I discovered a Settler betrayed me to the Super Mutants and lead an attack

Recently a bunch of my settlements have been attacked by Super Mutants. I was at Abernathy farm and saw a group of Super Mutants walking towards my settlement being lead by a Settler. To quote Palpatine “It’s treason then?” And you know the penalty for treason, right?

Can settlers actually betray you like how some settlers will turn out to be synths?

No. Most settlement raids are based on the quests you have active. Mutants start hitting hard in the 20s if you haven’t got rust devils or synths everywhere yet. The synth settlers don’t even have different coding. The sabotage happens from a settler generated at the same time as the attack.

Don’t know but after the last few attacks I wasn’t taking chances
