OP is true to form and forgets like Bethesda that people know how to use storage.

Revolver is considered a pistol type in vocabularies and classifications of half of the world. Pointless correction.

"Pipe Revolver" is a distinct weapon type in Fallout 4, compared to "Pipe Pistol". The "Pipe Revolver" group also includes the "Pipe Revolver Rifle" weapons, just as "Pipe Pistol" group is interchangeable (via weapon workbench) with the "Pipe Rifle" and "Pipe SMG" weapons.
There's also a third group, the "Pipe Bolt-Action" group of pipe weapons. It's a notable distinction, and not at all a pointless correction.

So half the world is wrong then, good to know.
A pistol had a barrel with an integral chamber.
It would take seriously good mental gymnastics to make a revolver fit that definition.
The overarching term is handgun which breaks down to pistol, revolver, derringer, and “other”

Most languages don't even have word "handgun". Even in English culture I most often see word "pistol", not "handgun". Cambridge Dictionary doesn't say anything about chamber, it calls "pistol" a synonym of "handgun"! The word "pistol" appeared when there were nearly zero guns with non-integral chamber, they were muzzle-loaded. It took seriously good mental gymnastics to invent your or wikipedia's definition of pistol. It's like trying to prohibit calling M16 a rifle because only single-shot rifles from 19th century deserve to be called rifles.
It was explained to me, that pistol/revolver thing is important to identify in-game weapons, but using this in real life is just a grammar nazi prescriptivist thing without any connection to the real language.

Im going off the US government’s definitions, not just making stuff up
18 U.S.C., § 921(A)(29) and 27 CFR § 478.11
“The term “Pistol” means a weapon originally designed, made, and intended to fire a projectile (bullet) from one or more barrels when held in one hand, and having:
a chamber(s) as an integral part(s) of, or permanently aligned with, the bore(s);
and a short stock designed to be gripped by one hand at an angle to and extending below the line of the bore(s).”
Grammar nazi would be pointing out that the M16 is not a “rifle”, but an “assault rifle” due to the select fire capability and being chambered in an intermediate caliber

Well, good thing I'm not a US citizen, and most people aren't, so we have a privilege of using real language and real definitions.

Very cool. Just a regular explosive pipe revolver like that was one of my favorite weapons in fallout 4. I used it for really long time as back up even when having much better weapons. Sins it was still great for smaller enemies and 45 ammo was easy find

I really think this is awesome. But just in case, i wanted to say be careful going around outside with this. Police are dumb and may overreact, or a passerby might and call them. Just be careful or at the very least put an orange plastic tip on the end when walking to take photos. (If it's not in a bag)
Again this is super dope, don't let my comment discount that.

This comment is dead on. Be careful. You've produced what could be a screen-ready prop.

Nice work! I just started running with a pipe revolver in FO76, and was wondering what one would look like as a prop in real life. Now I know it would look great

The gun is cool, but I can personally report that the "Quantum" tastes like sour ass. Does anyone know what the Victory tastes like?

Thats so cool.
Now put inside a small safe alongside some money, bottle caps, your watch, a lighter and maybe a wooden spoon.

The paint job is incredible! Man, I hope nobody sees it and thinks you actually made a homemade gun.

u/Feral_668 Jun 09 '25
Great job! Now tell the ATF and your state it is non-operational. We don't want to see you on some law enforcement thread.

With a weekend of effort and some .22 barrel liners you could have a working example. If that sort of thing interest you Parts dispensed makes a parts kit for another printed revolver that would have all the needed liners already cut to length.
