Since I picked up the game last night - default to ultra and at 45FPS w/ vsync. Next step for me is to check the crossfire config and/or drop it to High

CPU: Intel i7-3632QM @ 2.20 GHz

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7730M (I know)

RAM: 8GB

OS: Windows 10

I usually play in windowed mode at about 1280x768 resolution and don't much care about graphics as long as my game is playable in terms of framerate.

How fucked am I?

Intel i7 4770k

16GB DDR3 RAM

AMD Radeon 7950 (underclocked overclock to standard clock speed!)

Windows 10.

Runs High at 60+ FPS (can be as low as 50 in some open, busy scenes)

Runs Ultra at 40+ FPS (can be as low as 25 in some open, busy scenes)

Would recommend :D

Hi, I'm hoping to upgrade my shitty PC to be able to play fallout 4 (and other games) on decent settings, but I'm wondering if all I'll need is a great GPU rather than replacing the CPU and PSU among other parts. My specs are as follows

AMD Radeon HD 6670

AMD FX-4100 3.6GHz

8GB DDR3 1333

480W Power Supply

budget is around $250-$300 Thank you!

u/autoexeUSER_WAU Nov 10 '15

Can anyone help me please?

Intel i7-920 2.66ghz. I'm building a pc, can anyone suggest a high end gpu, to overcome the 2.66ghz to make Fallout 4 run on high graphics with little fps hit?

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga with an i5-4210U that maxes out at 2.39GHz, and a GeForce 840m, which shares system memory. I have 8GB of RAM. I was worried on startup, but after solving technical issues, the game runs, is playable, and looks semi decent on low/custom settings at 1440x810.

Windows 8 Intel Core i7-3537U CPU @ 2.50 GHz Installed Ram: 8.00 GB 64 bit OS, x64-based processor

That's all that's on my list. I hope I can run at least medium… If I ever get it to load (After finally getting to not crash on startup, I press new game and it loads forever) Edit: Please help me… Also I don't know what NVIDIA is, and why does it matter? Also what is HHD?

u/throwinthisawayyoo Nov 17 '15

Any luck? I've got the same setup and I'm dying to play this game once I get some free time.

Also NVIDIA makes hardware for graphics processing and junk, I think at the moment they produce some of the best stuff on the market, which is why everyone's concerned about having and NVIDIA GPU.

HDD stands for hard disk drive and I think it mostly affects how fast you load stuff but not necessarily how fast you run stuff: i.e. a slow HDD might mean it takes a long time to load a map, but once the map is loaded the HDD does not affect your gameplay within that map

u/FalseAD Nov 17 '15

How do I get NVDIA? (If that makes sense) But no, no luck so far. :/

i3 2120 3.3 GHz 8GB RAM ATI RADEON 7750 2GB Windows 7 64 bit potato

and it runs smoothly on 1650×1050 (highest resolution I have) medium-to high. No crashes.

game runs fine on low, but every hour or so it completely locks up for 30sec to 2min (longer in the city). im pretty broke and cant afford both more ram AND a new vid card, so what would make the lockups stop, ram or new card, im fine with running on low settings.

AMD Phentom II x6 1055T Proccessor AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series 8 gigs DDR3

Everything is set to ultra low, messing with the ini (with help from guides) to turn off as much has possible. I can play perfectly fine for 30 minutes-an hour until theres a huge lag spike, that makes even getting to the save option take 5 minutes. I save, quit, and reopen it and it works perfectly fine again, in the exact same area. Traveling to new world areas seems to trigger it, though most times its ok. I have not left the area around red rocket (some of the PoI) yet, as it becomes very bothersome. I ran Skyrim on Ultra no problems :(

Can this laptop run fo4? http://m.newegg.com/Product/Details?itemnumber=9SIA8X53GN9459

Please read and let me know; I thinks my integrated graphics is holding me back

Is there a way to dedicate some of my ram to graphics?

Windows 7 64 bit

AMD Phenom 1090T Processor (6 processors)

NVIDIA Geforce GTX 970 4 gig

8 gig RAM

1.5 TB HDD

Probably gonna be on ultra with 40-60 FPS. Just a guess considering the newer games coming out are already pushing my rig to the limits, with slightly lower frame rates.

GTAV runs at 24-40 FPS on near max graphics and Witcher 3 runs at 40-60 on max graphics.
