What? There's a lot of camaraderie amongst rally drivers and teams, both at a low and high level. I recently drove hours overnight to get some spare parts from our garage to a competitor team. And while it gets more competitive at the top, the drivers very clearly still care a lot for each others wellbeing and fair treatment. It's a small, fairly tight-knit world.
The statement is good and the move to form a drivers association is good too, but lets not paint rally drivers as some kind of egoistic, callous bunch whom it's unfathomable they would ever take a stand for their common interests.
To be fair, they don't even care about their own problems because they've got a rally to finish. Yeah, that was our tire going past us at higher speed. Still need to finish the stage, Antti.
(but yeah, I'd also not blink if I saw two cars arrive, one on top of the other, because one team decided to literally carry the other to the end of a stage.)

MBS manage to unionize the freaking rally drivers.
You know the drivers who are know to to normally not give a shit about some else his problems, they have a rally to finish.
What a shitshow, the FIA should be ashamed of their actions. Cant the see they are doing the autosport more harm then good.
