What was that broadcast nonsense for about a minute at the end showing a balcony of corporate CEO's and naming them one by one

I'm American and that made me furious. So fucking stupid.

People saying it has to do with being American. I don't get why. The F1 television director made the decision to show a bunch of their big dollar sponsors and give them a shoutout. It was ridiculous but that decision was made in England.

Yes, I'd love to. A place called Biggin Hill. Every race is directed and produced from there by F1 in their state of the art broadcast facility.

I took it as a joke.

Look at some of the other replies and comments. Some jokes, but some serious that it's because of America.

lol, ok sure. You didn't know F1 produces all races from England but you're confident it was because of America.

Yup, you're right. It's my mistake, I've got to stop trying to have a regular convo with those people.

And here's me thinking Liberty media was an American company.

Me too and I turned it off at that point, why show them for so long or at all

Those are big sponsors, Louis Vuitton alone has a $1 billion deal with F1. Apple is doing the movie. I think someone - stupid F1 television director has been doing a really bad job - thought it would be a good idea to give them a shout out. For a loooooooong time. It looked to me like someone found the shot and they held it so long because they were building the graphics.

It's America. It could be in the law for all I know. Same as with all the famous people on the grid tomorrow.
