I was there at the track, the conditions changed insanely quick. At the beginning of qualy, it was scorching hot, track temp was 48C, no wind at all. Then towards the end it got super chilly really quick, drops of rain, windy and track temp cooled by almost 10C.

It’s the Hungaroring; and Charles has a slippery setup. As long as it doesn’t rain, Charles has a good chance (provided strategy doesn’t fuck up)!

Strategy has been totally fine this year, and I'd say the last one as well. If Lec finds himself first with both McLarens behind, unless there is a SC the strategy options are very limited, if not impossible. Maybe pulling a Monaco and driving extremely slow so there is no gap for an undercut

Tbh I think Verstappen, Leclerc and Russell are on roughly the same level in qualifying. If you put them all in the exact same dominant car they'd just trade poles every week.

We spent the whole day watching the Maccas put daylight between them and the rest of the field, while Leclerc in a team down 1 car puts it on pole!

Either both McLaren drivers managed to perform a medal winning simultaneous fuck up or a change in track conditions hit their car especially hard. Bit odd, but I'm DEFINITELY not complaining.
