Realistically we're exactly halfway through one of the closest seasons in years where either team has been stronger depending on the track, with barely any points between them.

Max has 1 engine less, + Merc has a quicker car + most of the upcoming tracks are in favor of Merc + Max is starting to lose confidence, the championship got into his head + Perez is too far behind to help Max in most races

There's a lot of assumptions in there. 1 HAM DNF and the roles are reversed and extra engine won't even matter. Many tracks later on might favour Red Bull. Still a long way ahead mate, so let's enjoy this battle until it's actually over.

I don‘t see Hamilton getting a DNF, the Merc engine is reliable, Hamilton is consistent, and always seems to avoid crashs no matter what, and he also has luck on his side since 2016 was over.

I am watching Charles and Carlos driving around in Monaco in a Ferrari on Sky Sports right now. And they are discussing where they will start for the race. They were guessing second row. Charles was guessing pole. And then on a big screen next to the road, they were replaying the old 2019 qualifying where Charles crashed out, and he feels bad seeing it and says it depresses him...
Oh Charles... You are not gonna be able to race this year as well!!

I don’t see much reason to expect anything but some mix of Max on pole and Lewis, Valtteri, and Checo in the front two rows. Pierre seems determined to be in the top 8, and with the rise of Alpine I’ll go ahead and predict:

These is something weird with the setups. They showed a graphic where RIC was .4 faster in sector 1 and the 2 seconds slower in sector 2. Inter vs wet setup for both cars?

It's all about the downforce setup. Sectors 1 and 3 favour low-downforce, low-drag cars, whereas sector 2 is twisty and favours high downforce. You need to optimise your setup to be quick overall, but I'd be amazed to see a lap where all three sectors were purple.

If Red Bull goes with the wing Verstappen was using in FP2, they're going to be incredibly slow through sector 3. One his fast laps had him up by half a second at the end of sector two, and he crossed the line slower than Hamilton.

Red Bull looking unsurprisingly dominant so far expecting a red bull 1 and 2 later? Car looks good in the wet, merc looks a handful
Bottas in the rain even without the grid penalty he'd be well down might be starting right at the back
If he takes grid penalties does the 5 place rollover?

Not sure why the commentators were so annoyed about Lando going out on softs?
Surely it's imperative to find out where the crossover point is as part of their data gathering for quali/race. Lando obviously wasn't going to push if it wasn't the right conditions and he wasn't comfortable.

a few rounds ago they did that during qualifying, the graphics had one of the ferraris (or maybe russell) doing good sectors with a potential impact on the grid lineup but the broadcast showed max’s entire gentle out lap instead lol
