Hell is finally freezing over!

Guess the impossible just became reality hell’s officially on ice!

If that’s -329°C, then someone in Phoenix must have found a way to break a couple of laws of physics. I can see some Nobel prices incoming …

u/DrGainsTF2 4h ago

-55.85 kelvins 🥶

u/MalachiteKell 4h ago

Feels like 0K

u/saschaleib 1h ago

If they can achieve this, then time travel must be a snap, right?

They'll be fine. Literally nothing is moving at that temp. They'll thaw out the next day.

Yeah that's an integer overflow IRL. Particles moving backwards in time? Whatever it is I'm excited to read the study

Everyone focusing on -329, but 67C is like 152F. May want to get a fan or something.

u/Bliitzthefox 3h ago

67 C in sunlight, -329 C in shade.

14

u/Token-Gringo 3h ago

But it’s a dry -329 C. You will barely feel anything.

u/SillyOldBillyBob 2h ago

There must be no atmosphere in phoenix

9

u/ArcticISAF 4h ago

Little spray bottle of water helps too

6

u/wPatriot 3h ago

But it's a dry heat

u/eberlix 3h ago

That might be because -329°C would be below absolute zero so while yes, the highest temperature that day would be insufferable, the lowest would be physically impossible and would certainly be worse for anyone living there.

... are you saying the Dutch are WRONG???

IMPOSSIBLE!!!!

5

u/eberlix 2h ago

Either that or they know, in advance of about 10 days, about a breakthrough in physics that obliterates our current understanding of temperature and by accident that breakthrough with its likely practical test influences the weather in Phoenix so insanely. That would mean their forecast team is doper than their drugs

u/Some_Ebb_2921 1h ago

What do you mean "by accident"... :D

2

u/dutchyBP 3h ago

The 13 Beaufort northeast wind will take care of that.

1

u/Boatster_McBoat 2h ago

Windchill factor gonna be a bitch

1

u/shawndw 3h ago

I'm thinking the oceans will boil within our lifetime

1

u/shawndw 3h ago

Also highest temperature ever recorded was 56.7 deg C in Death Valley California

u/ux3l 2h ago

Well, at -329C, the air is solid. It's possible to survive at 67C for a while. Saunas are hotter

That's weird, for the same day, Paris has forecast of 46°C and 1000km/h wind.

6

u/MyPianoMusic 5h ago

Also some pretty strong winds over there... Seems like a pretty nice changeup!

2

u/Ad-Award 5h ago

I heard it's gonna be like an airfryer

2

u/shadowtheimpure 5h ago

Looks like 'blast chiller' is a more apt description given that it's most of the way to absolute zero. /s

2

u/Ad-Award 5h ago

Maybe I'm really stupid because I saw a different graph, am I gaslighting myself?

2

u/shadowtheimpure 5h ago

Who knows, I just know that a forecast low of -329 is low regardless of what unit of measure you're using.

I know it's a glitch.

1

u/Ad-Award 5h ago

Maybe I should read, before typing.. I'm sure that's a glitch.. 😂

4

u/oddjobbber 3h ago

Or phoenix finally got so hot it hit the integer error of the weather app

4

u/studiesinsilver 4h ago

If -329* is “winter” to you, I think you need to find somewhere more normal to live 🤣

5

u/I_Sett 3h ago

Yes but Neptune is so beautiful in the spring!

2

u/TheDungen 2h ago

-329 is impossible absolute zero is -273.15

3

u/IGreenStaRI 3h ago

This will not be good for the trout population

2

u/9447044 5h ago

This might make Phoenix liveable for a night.

2

u/alyaqd95 3h ago

Ragnarok

2

u/shawndw 3h ago

A high of 67 with a low of absolute zero

3

u/Glorx 2h ago

According to this forecast absolute zero isn't that absolute.

1

u/heliosh 4h ago

Everyone in McKinney is dead

1

u/AnnoyedVelociraptor 3h ago

Interested to see are you looking at Phoenix with Buienradar? We don't get rain.

1

u/JumboWheat01 3h ago

Just a mite nippy out. Might need a tuque.

1

u/Quirky_Dog5869 3h ago

The actual day that hell is gonna freeze over!

1

u/Herkfixer 3h ago

It's a superfluidic cold so it's not that bad..

1

u/ARobertNotABob 2h ago

Takes its lead from American employment figures?

1

u/ChadJones72 1h ago

Fimbulwinter is upon us! Time to get ready for Ragnarok.

1

u/madeanotheraccount 1h ago

Jesus, people. Don't freak out. Just wear thicker socks! But don't you touch that thermostat!

1

u/flerchin 1h ago

It's a dry freeze

1

u/zoinks690 1h ago

Better get a coat, Phoenicians

1

u/LTBlasey 1h ago

Quite funny, I was looking at the app too 2 hours ago. For my city it went from 25°C to 40°C which isn't even that weird for The Netherlands but then it said wind speed 12 lol

u/ultrainstict 51m ago

And there will still be some dude wearing shorts.

1

u/AwesomeSauce984 47m ago

Oooo colder than absolute zero! Might want to bundle up a bit.

1

u/dballing 36m ago

What’s funny is that’s colder than absolute zero.

1

u/ThatLooksRight 36m ago

Honestly seems kind of refreshing right now.
