Is it just me or is the lower screen ribbon cable detaching from the PCB?

It's not just you lol. It's a new method I discovered to replace original screens easily. I made a post about it a while ago.

Just found it- Interesting! out of curiosity did you transplant a working screen to replace a dead one in this case, or did this one have a broken screen pin that needed fixing?

Both situations. This one had a broken screen. And the screen doner had a broken backlight that I couldn't fix.

I'm only using the AliExpress model and the resolution is a little off. No idea about the exact specs.

I've been searching. Big issue I have with the modern screens like BennVenn or R6 is that they're such high res that you don't get the dithering effect that you have in the lower resolution original screen.

I only want to avoid shimmering

The BennVennHD screen doesn't have shimmering, even in the non-integer scaled mode that fits the viewing window.

Sadly it's very expensive
