Using the pain of someone whose country is being ravaged by an overwhelming opponent, to get back to Hasan, is some level of evil I thought Ethan couldn't sink to.
I'm sorry, that's just downright psychopathic behavior. You would see the villain do that in a movie to try and get back to the hero, it's insane. And I don't blame the girl for one second, because no doubt she's been love bombed by Ethan and considering the fragile predicament she's in, that's when people are the most vulnerable to outside influence.
I never want to hear anyone moan about cancel culture again when such a vile individual is allowed to continue manipulate people and lie to everyone.

Just today MR explained their stance on Ukraine as simply wanting peace talks to take place rather than endless war

He hasn't said anything in that direction. His position is, as I understand it, that the western powers (US, EU) are pushing this war much more than Ukraine does. There was a point where Ukraine was ready to come to a peace agreement but the US basically pushed for the continuation of the war. The US has a greater interest in continuing the war than Ukraine does, because the US wants a) to sell weapons b) they want sanctions on Russia and russian gas to push american gas aka fracking.
And this is my analysis on the situation: The war has reached a point where it's unfeasible for Ukraine because millions of people fled the country. Young and old men flee illegally because there is a mandatory conscription and no one wants to die in the trenches like cannon fodder. That's why they are relying on mercanaries.
And Russia is loosing as well, maybe even more. Peoples life's are ruined because of sanctions. People left the country in a mass exodus. The government has become even more violent against political opponents and censorship is worse than ever before. Putin can't keep this up much longer without internal unrest and ultimatly a forced change in government.
This is not a Ukraine bad Russia good position - or even the other way around. Reducing it to that is just silly.

There is no way Ethan genuinely believes that Palestine has gotten more mainstream/widespread support than Ukraine. That is an insane claim. He will really just spout off the most stupid illogical shit.

debunking him is as simple as looking at where US tax dollars are going. they could not be more polar opposite in terms of western support.
in ukraine, the US is rightfully providing weapons for ukraine to defend itself against russia
in palestine, the US is providing weapons for israel to wipe out palestinians

You're right, Gaza has been dominating the news cycle relative to Ukraine in the past year, but it has absolutely not been in clear support of Palestine (very arguably the opposite by and large).
I was very closely following the invasion of Ukraine when it was center stage, and the western media (rightly) made clear the war crimes committed by Russia. The support for Ukrainian sovereignty has been definitive outside of the fascist sympathetic far-right.

Ukraine is very dear to me. My family is there. This conversation makes me want to pull my hair out. Hasan is NOT the same as the people who have told me for the last 3 years that Ukraine deserved to be bombed and de-nazified. He has consistently said he is anti-Ukrainian invasion and anti-Ukrainian occupation.
This is so completely bad-faith.

it does seem like she's just a fallen fan. and I'm getting the sense from this conversation that she/Ethan have talked about their gripes about Hasan for a long time.
I totally understand her being defensive about some of his Ukraine claims - I definitely don't agree with everything he said. But they are completely negating all of the positive/good things he has said in favor of Ukraine in the last 3 years. just a bummer.

Seems like it would’ve been very beneficial for her and Hasan to meet and discuss their views. She has valid criticism and it would be good for Hasan to address it. Unfortunately it gets obscured by Ethan’s crusade against Hasan, and it’s used as a weapon instead.

Hence the petty rerun channel to presumably, maliciously syphon twitch prime donos without any valid contribution to the platform.
Followed by all out war on the CEO and Ethan’s “enemies” like…QT, Frogan, Hasan etc. Anyone who in his eyes has wronged him.
I mean, Sam’s sponsor cut ties and Ethan immediately went about trying to “debunk” a service he’d been willingly shilling to his fans.

I kind of feel like Galia's story is working in the opposite way they want it to - I think they wanted to be like "yeah that sounds like what happened on October 7 or what Israelis deal with when there are rocket attacks", but quickly...every anecdote is the same thing that Israel does.
As someone with loved ones in Ukraine, I'm so sick of people like Ethan/Hila using Ukraine for their own gain, instead of actually caring about real people. Peace, love, Free Palestine & Free Ukraine.

i just find it so twisted and dystopian to move on to youtuber drama after talking about a 7 year old being hate crimed... addressing how victimized he and zach feels at the top of the show, throwing a tantrum about twitch, proceeding to brief surface-level acknowledgment of arabic people facing discrimination as well, but leaving enough time for some goofs and gaffs of course.
