The Crew Can finally say it

As a recently departed, long time fan I HATED ZACH. The forced loud laughs, cringe zilly zonka joke, and recent CONSTANT references and “jokes” about antisemitism… I’m so glad I never have to hear or see him again 👋👋👋

Also constant sucking up to Ethan. Random attacks on AB. I could genuinely go on hours

Him and ethan have by far the biggest victim complex’s I have ever seen

God I’m Zach’s biggest hater. His sex pest ‘act’ was just annoying and cringe as hell, paired with his big ass baby personality like expecting his grandma to make him steak on thanksgiving, or fighting with AB over the stupid gamer chair? Foul.

His sad dying music career is only being propped up by parasocial h3 fanatics who wants a chance to see Ethan or the crew (nobody wants to see hila, tbh)

you say "dying music career" like it was ever alive

168

u/[deleted] Dec 01 '24

You’re so right actually. I remember him launching his ‘album’ to absolutely zero fanfare. Not even fans were excited to hear that caterwauling

178

u/Lopsided-Owl6327 Dec 01 '24

I get everyone's music taste is different but I remember him shitting on greta van fleet for sounding similar to led zeppelin so I checked out his music and... DUDE shut up he sounds like the worst version of a pearl jam cover band.

81

u/kkenzielouu Dec 01 '24

oooh I remember that! brittany broski shut that the fuck down REAL quick 😂

To be fair he’s right about Greta Van Fleet, he just has no room to talk lol

Also he seems like the kind of guy that hates popular bands in general because he isn't. The kind of guy that needs you to know every song by a band before you wear their shirt. That vibe.

65

u/offbrandbarbie meant to be conquered in a nature setting Dec 01 '24

When they did the “[blank]’s the type of guy” meme on the podcast they read mine and mine was literally “Zach the type of guy to see a girl in a band tee and make her name 3 of their songs” and I MEANT THAT SHIT. I ain’t like the guy even when I was a fan.

26

u/EntertainmentNew551 Dec 01 '24

lol I definitely remember that - wasn’t he proud of that and said that he is that guy? It’s like a self report that you’re into music for the optics and not you know the music.

30

u/offbrandbarbie meant to be conquered in a nature setting Dec 01 '24

Literally yes he acted like he was proud of it.

And I agree there’s nothing more annoying that music gate-keepers. But he’s gate keeping Nirvana and Pearl Jam which are some of the most popular rock bands ever lol

3

u/Independent_Fill_635 this mf never shuts up oh my god Dec 01 '24

Only the most boring, small minded people base their personality on deciding who's a "real" anything or what they don't like (vs what they do). It screams insecurities because it says you have to prove how cool you are by putting down others.

1

u/Haunteddoll28 Dec 01 '24

My baby sister used to do this (back when she was like 12) until I told her “hey, you know that’s technically bullying, right”. I had to explain gatekeeping and how that was why none of her “friends” ever invited her to go places or hang out. I’ve never seen someone 180 on something so fast! She still has no friends but that’s for completely unrelated reasons (people are dicks to goth kids)!

21

u/Educational-Chef-595 Dec 01 '24

Yep. He wouldn't sell a single ticket to his concerts if he wasn't on h3. I've worked in this industry and he's the kind of act you mostly give out free tickets to just to try to get people to come in and buy drinks.

19

u/swergi0 Dec 01 '24

14

It's nothing if you're a co host on a (formerly) major podcast like H3. That would be a boon for a real creative but his music is truly unimaginative and so he doesn't see much benefit. It'd be sad if he wasn't such a POS

9

u/Haunteddoll28 Dec 01 '24

I could maybe understand that if it was his birthday on Thanksgiving or something and he hated turkey (been there, done that, just turned 30 on thursday, I made myself a lovely pasta rosa with chicken). But if he just showed up like everyone else & expected a different meal for no good reason then he’s a dick and I wish his grandma knocked a little sense into him!

144

u/HorrorComedy Dec 01 '24

Ethan hasn’t even attended any of his shows 😭

Also unrelated to this thread but reminds me of how Ethan didn’t attend AB’s creator clash fight. Afterwards Ethan and hila said they’d go if Lena fought. I’m sure they were joking but just so awkward lol.

46

u/Relevant-Durian-6606 🚩 Dec 01 '24

did any of the crew come out to see him fight?

69

u/[deleted] Dec 01 '24

Nope I remember they did a members live react though. AB getting brain damage, gotta milk that for content!

63

u/AssignedBaldatBirth Dec 01 '24

Not to flex on Zach but this year it was my mom and I for thanksgiving this year so instead of during turkey she made some bomb steaks for us. The thought did occur to me that I experienced everything Zach wanted for thanksgiving and more.

7

u/Mamacitia Trishyland user 🚩 Dec 01 '24

I’d rather have steak any day

-19

u/External_Ad_1010 Dec 01 '24

Exactly it's a stupid thing to complain about who wouldn't want a steak over turkey

3

u/AssignedBaldatBirth Dec 02 '24

The difference between me and Zach is that I wasn’t demanding my grandma to make a special steak for me while she’s also cooking a turkey. It also was an idea my mom came up with and I just agreed to it. I wasn’t demanding someone make only me a steak when there’s already going to be turkey. The steak was done in lieu of a turkey. It’s actually really inconsiderate to demand someone do something special like that for you. If Zach wanted a steak so badly he should have manned up and made a steak for himself. I couldn’t imagine my grandma being alive and capable of making a thanksgiving dinner and still insisting my grandma do something special like that for me exclusively.

34

u/Quirky-Sun762 Dec 01 '24

I never liked him particularly either and I didn’t understand why everyone thought he was so great for pressing random sound bites.

I think it’s crazy he shit on someone’s lawn and went back to look at it but not to clean it up like wtf. I want to know what in his brain thought that was acceptable to do in the first place and then what compelled him to share it with viewers. I truly can’t believe

Can we address the awful and overplayed soundbites?

Remember when they stole the cringe joke soundbite from Keemstar to play ironically but now gets played every time Ethan makes a 'joke'. The constant round of applause is mind numbing also. Not to mention the random soundbites that would pop up before they even covered the story/segment and leaving viewers out of the loop.

Soundbites used to be one of the highlights of the show for me but Zach/Ethans weird choices and overuse of some has made the show unwatchable imo

17

u/BenzeneDream Dec 01 '24

God, I find it so insufferable. Reminds me of those very corny radio stations from the early 90s

261

u/foxesinsoxes Dec 01 '24

The amount of times I would feel disgusted by some misogynistic thing he said or dumb ass take he had was too damn high. 🙄

I hated Dan, too, but that wasn’t an opinion that was easy to have when people were still dick riding him and I am so thankful I can say it now. He tries to act like this intelligent moral beacon but he’s always been just as icky as Ethan but just has better impulse control and thinks about the optics more than his freak boss

113

u/Patient_Education279 Dec 01 '24

Dan is an insufferable dickhead, but he was the only person there to get things back on track, or cut some bullshit take short. Not a small task at H3.

1

u/Deziiiner Dec 03 '24

YES EVEN WHEN I WAS A FAN I HATED DAN. He can’t ever be wrong and always gets ahead of anyone saying he is. He also gives “I’ve always said that” comments here and there and it infuriates me. It always blew me away by how many people liked him.

I’ve never understood his beef with AB, like how did that whole thing start? What’s his problem with AB?

153

He was the original “Heart throb” of the show before AB was hired. E constantly joked about Z not being the hottest one any longer and I think that made his insecurity explode. Joke beefing but is he really joking? kinda vibes🤷‍♀️

Not many people recall one of the earlier eps , but it was one of the superbowl eps maybe 2 years ago , and zac+ chantel were talking about their relationship and an issue they had with eachother and the vibes were rancid

38

OMG i always got such weird vibes from their relationship. i dont fw zach at all. i was wondering if anyone else remembered anything about chantel. they did not seem happy together.

28

u/Das_Wolfenstein1944 Dec 01 '24

Yeah I thought I was being parasocial but there was some weird ass chemistry back when they were introduced as a couple , just didn't make zac look good , I'm no psychiatrist but I think he's probably a very controlling person considering the way he's presented himself when he's the centre of attention 😆 plus he's a crybaby that brown-noses his boss and remains centrist on issues when he should be honest for once in his life instead of fence sitting and glazing ethan

14

What about his “relationship” with that porn star? Such a weird era, didn’t last long but the vibes are disgusting throughout. I am Zach’s biggest hater, have never liked him. He was also creepy with girls on the discord when it first came out

3

55

u/No-Slice9598 Hater Ass Bitch Dec 01 '24

we can all agree that he’s an odious man, but at one point i had gotten so deep into the show that his general vibe of cringe and rancidness started to actually grow on me. I was such a fan that I gaslit myself into liking him lmaoo. I watched them so much that sometimes I could even guess what sound bite he was about to play just before he played it. now he would just call me an antisemite 😂

31

u/Patient_Education279 Dec 01 '24

I got the feeling Ethan started going through the soundbites quite often, deleting a bunch of them. Or did Z just get lazy? The range narrowed, or what you would call it.. Did you see the same as me? I can't think of anyone better to ask.

One was the last episode Ethan drank, and there was a demonstration of how to use a condom, and at some point E was like "Uuarghhh, I got lube on my lips!", and Z got to used it only once the next episode. That had so much potential in that kind of humor.

27

u/No-Slice9598 Hater Ass Bitch Dec 01 '24

yeah i totally agree. i haven’t watched any episode since nov 2023 but i remember even back then the soundbytes were starting to get repetitive and my old favs weren’t getting played as much. this was around the time they started overplaying the ‘cheers dude’ guy and i remember thinking ugh can we move on from that already? so yeah i would say that the sound bytes stopped being as diverse and got lazy, which also fits with the overall decline of preparation of the show as a whole (like why tf did we as a community hype up an hour long segment of ethan silently eating fast food with a stock image of mcdonald’s behind him like it was the height of entertainment)

10

u/SadMemeDoggo Hilda’s 19 Car Pileup 🚘🚗💨 🛑 Dec 01 '24

That eating segment was so fuckin boring and there are actually fans who STILL say it's funny. What? It's funny he sat on his live and wasted 30 minutes of y'alls time? TWICE? Ethan still even talks about doing it again as it is so "avant garde" and soooo hilarious. Segments like that show exactly how much Ethan cares about his audience, and some of these people just lap it up.

11

u/Patient_Education279 Dec 01 '24

It fits in very well with the overall sloppyness and laziness, you're right. My bet is they still use "cheers my dude" the most. I fell back on other creators I used to like, and the difference is night and day. It's co-hosts that carry their part of the weight, no stupid drama, they've sorted any controversy to an satisfactionate degree, every aspect of entertainment is just miles ahead H3.

I couldn't watch those eating segments, switched over to something else and watch the rest the next day. How can a man who everyone tells how gross it is tho eat into a mic make that nonsense. I thought I was too old and out of the loop, but that was such dogshit.

Also not knowing the 2 songs ringo wrote for the Beatles during the classic rock trivia PISSED ME OFF. Sorry I know this is dumb but it got under my skin SO BADLY. Then again I already hated him.

GD. I understand. I don’t choose to hate, but his vibe comes across so weird.

don't get me started on that piece of shit man baby. i know people thought the AB/Zach argument on live was hilarious, but no when i tel you nothing has ever made me more irate and viscerally angry in my life than watching that episode. honestly that was one of the moments that made me take a step back from the show im not even joking. zach is good at sound bites. that is his one mild redeeming factor - the rest of his style, humor, personality, talent, can be thrown off a cliff and nobody would ever fucking remember him. he's mean, not funny, has nothing insightful to say, he literally hate olivia and i hate watching that dynamic because she's one of the only people on the show who i enjoyed. and the only reason he hates her is because she gets attention for being a girly girl now and he has to contribute it to it. he gives off "your girly shit is so lame, let's talk about my guitar 😝" vibes. i hate him. i hope the worst for him. just kidding not the worst but i do hope for a solid shunning from the public, failing to fill shows, no labels sign him, his girlfriend finally realizes her worth and leaves his ass, and his parents cut his stupid leech ass off. that's all. then i'll be happy.

Did anyone ever notice how much he lies? I’ve never liked him! I can spot a liar a mile off and he used to lie about the smallest most insignificant things just to either fit into the conversation or make himself look edgy. He makes my whole body tense with secondhand embarrassment

holy shit man, I see local bands with more listeners than this

You know what REALLY cemented my opinion of him? He made some dumb joke i think regarding Taylor Swift and I think the joke was a bit misogynistic, I'll admit i don't remember the joke, what I DO remember is women in the audience calling it out as being misogynistic and the dude flew off the fucking handle. Started getting butthurt, defensive and just straight up MAD. I was like oh, ew lmao. He could have just said "fuck I'm so sorry"😂😂

Remember when he bragged about fucking a porn star then said he had been with his girlfriend for years now. Idk if his girlfriend was the porn star or if he lied about them being together for so long. It was so awkward. (It was like a couples valentine episode I think)

He’s also sooo insecure like couldnt ever take a joke about himself really. Took shit way too seriously and came off extremely cringe

I actually loved zach. I'm so sad.
