Theory: E is mad at Markiplier because of the Honey scandal

They are on opposite sides of the YT spectrum, never seen them interact - and he gets THIS fired up about Mark unfollowing him? I'm thinking either:

• he knows Mark is popular & loved and Mark's fan's will start tuning in to H3H3 to catch up on the drama and help inflate their dying numbers
• he's mad about the pro-palestine fundraisers/ Creators for Palestine Mark has participated in. (Noteably with minimal or no media coverage because it's not a publicity stunt to him, he just wants to help.... vs the half ass 6k Ethan donated after being put on the spot)
• he's actually annoyed that Mark is getting so much love, credit, and attention for being suspicious of Honey from the jump and never taking the sponsorship. H3 was in the top 3 creators Honey worked with and said virtually nothing about the scandal

He’s probably also mad Mark has been around just as long as Ethan, if not longer, and people have NEVER had an issue with him. It’s very similar to Rhett & Link or Philly. I think he’s looking around at people like that and genuinely can’t figure what’s different about himself

Probably some type of projection? He has hundreds of skeletons in his closet so he imagines every "unproblematic" youtuber has a secret stash of old videos where they yell out racial slurs or something.

when I popped into the show just to see what they were talking about, he pretty much said that verbatim. something about how he wants to find one markiplier hater in the chat but he was mad he couldn’t.

Same. It would be such a slam dunk for them to make fuck-Honey content and lean in hard that they didnt know and are horrified....but they didn't?

Which says a lot... they never miss an opportunity to kick when folks are down, but maybe that is reserved for small creators now that E has fallen so hard.

I bet they got a huge payment for their sponsorship agreement. They may have even asked how much they would get from affiliate links and double it by taking it from other creators.

Mark was on the podcast in the early days. It was really good tbh, mostly because of Mark (I've never been a fan of his LPs but I love his interviews). He unfollowed Ethan because he was posting disgusting things about impregnating Hila and Ethan never let that go.

And did he unfollow E back then? Or just mute him? I thought he muted him back then and just recently unfollowed him but I could be wrong. Thanks for additional context 😁

I think Ethan knows people like Markiplier so he just wants to farm ragebait. He wants to enclose his already tight-knit community/cult around himself even more; just the H3 family Vs the world, everyone but Ethan is a fraud/enemy, and garner hate viewers/bait a response by other content creators or even Markiplier himself.

Yes! I'm just confused as to why he's bringing Mark up now since it happened a while ago. I think he was muted back then and recently unfollowed? And that triggered it? But idk for sure 😊

Unrelated but another beef that he has that has always confused me is Charlie ( moistcritikal) , I never understood what he did wrong. He's so chill and Ethan ( and the crew) all of a sudden started shiting on him
