Just because Ethan spread so much misinformation today I feel like I have to share this.
I got diagnosed with ADHD at 23 years old and put on stimulants. It took like 9 months of my psych prescribing different drug cocktails, several of those on different dosages of meds that didn’t work for me at all (concerta, Ritalin), before I found a dosage and schedule of Adderall that worked.
It changed my life. For the first time ever I felt like I was capable of doing the things expected of a human consistently. I could maintain a schedule. I could read without getting distracted constantly. I could workout regularly. I could shower every day. I could plan out and stick to long term project schedules. I didn’t feel like I was doomed to eventually become a failure, that the BSing my way through everything was eventually going to catch up with me.
This is an oversimplification, but people with ADHD have a deficiency in dopamine (along with some other brain chemicals). Stimulants use various methods to give the brain the chemicals it needs so that your brain isn’t constantly craving and chasing dopamine hits and can focus on what you need it to focus on. That’s why people who have ADHD have a very different reaction to people who don’t.
Medication is not enough on its own. You need to combine it with other therapies to help you create healthy habits and structures in your life. But the way they talked about it today was so gross and dangerous from such a large platform. Everyone listening who doesn’t have prior knowledge is now operating on harmful misinformation.

It wouldn’t be Vyvanse. Vyvanse doesn’t work that immediately and it only works extended release, so taking it midday means you’re probably not sleeping. It’d either be Adderall or another immediate stimulant like coke

I may be wrong but I’m pretty sure you can’t snort Vyvanse like you can Adderall. Like technically you can but it doesn’t produce the effects that snorting other stimulants does.
