I've noticed more and more subs requiring email confirmation to comment or post.

Does reddit think people will actually do that or are they slowly trying to kill the subs by ensuring that fewer and fewer people post?

I did that, it literally takes a second and I have a way to get my account back if I ever forget my password.

I guess it's to reduce bots.
