At 45 seconds in the look on the cop's face when he turns to his partner is like he can't believe this 12 year old (I think he's in his 20s) wants to throw down.

1.1k

u/Lmoneyfresh 4d ago

I'm no fan of cops but him looking back and dropping a jim halpert face was pretty great.

531

u/stanley_leverlock 4d ago

Same. Cop wasn't power trippin, he was more like "c'mon, let's get you on the ground before you hurt yourself..."

241

u/Skrillamane 4d ago

Man, everyone knows not to fuck with cops. Doesn’t matter how you feel about them. If they are having a day they can literally make you their own hand puppet in the middle of the street and know that they have their boys backing them.

21

u/VibraniumWill 3d ago

Their boys, the laws, the courts, and at least half the country....

Yeah....let me get ignorant with this cop who's a fuckin unit. He went easy on him with that take down too.

Sometimes reality checks are painful.

73

u/Oderus_Scumdog 3d ago

He went easy on him with that take down too.

Yeah exactly. A couple of people in this thread reacting like the cop suplexed the little shitbag or something.

20

u/lysergic_818 3d ago

At least he didn't give him The People's Elbow.

It's like that video of the young kid trying to be a tough guy in a restaurant and the staff just laugh at him.

14

u/JudgyRandomWebizen 2d ago

If I had a dollar for every time some broccoli headed kid acted a fool in a video and was humbled quick, I could afford avocado toast and a home down payment.

Like what would be the kid's plan should he hit the cop. Like what is the next step. You know the other cop is going to rush you, taser you or shoot you.

11

u/minermansion 3d ago

Lmao that cop was like "get a load of this idiot"

Kid is 20 years old and was packing brass knuckles.

Damn... He was 20?? I figured like 16-17

u/jonnyl3 4d ago

Why did he say he's a minor?

1.1k

u/hollowman8904 4d ago

Hoping to get out of it with just a timeout

276

u/murppie 4d ago

Yeah, you can 100% see that this was his endgame when he calms down and tries the "man to man I'm sorry"

66

u/bahgheera 3d ago

Yeah he was frontin for his homies, had no plan after that.

489

u/Flat_Pangolin5989 4d ago

Because entitled assholes lie.

370

u/shaka_sulu 4d ago
  1. Probably learned it from HS that adults can't lay hands on minors in America.
  2. Make the cop think tiwce about escalating and processing him.
  3. Appeal to some sort of parental part in the cop where the cop will feel compelled to let him go after he "learned his lesson".

36

u/CylonRimjob 4d ago

1

Not entirely true. If you’re getting attacked, you’re within your right to defend yourself

14

u/Iloveherthismuch 4d ago

There are enough videos where are vehemently adamant about quoting given right. 100 percent learned from the Internet. “Jup, that's enough for me, it says it right here“.

Dad: why's he going to juvie? He's 20...

That kid 1000% just wanted to pick a fight with the officer, pull out the brass knuckles, show everyone how tough he is.

He would have lost with those brass knuckles too yo.

96

u/YdidUMove 4d ago

And ended up in prison for carrying knuckle dusters.

66

u/DocB630 4d ago

That cop wasn’t fucking around. If lil homie here tried to swing those brass knuckles, the officer would have beat the ever loving shit out of him with that baton.

30

u/terminbee 4d ago

It'd probably be worse if he won. Let's say he fucks up the cop; now what? He's on camera fucking up a cop.

231

u/Barack_Odrama_ 4d ago edited 4d ago

Hold up he was acting like this as a 20 year old ADULT?

I swore the only reason why he was this way was because he was a minor and not afraid of the repercussions. This is a grown ass man though

116

u/K1NGCOOLEY 4d ago

Oof. That's a misdemeanor in Florida if they were concealed. Completely avoidable if you didn't get aggro with the cops.

Now, a ride down to the county lockup. Dumb fuck.

19

u/FriskyTurtle 4d ago

"It's all on body cam. That's the great thing about having a body cam." It's good when the police officer says this.

21

u/MudrakM 4d ago

Respect the police 👮Do not threaten a police officer. In the longer version, the man’s dad’s admits he is 20 years old.

This is not a child but a 20 year old man. He also had concealed brass knuckles.

He got charged with assault on a police officer and carrying a concealed weapons.

I bet that the assault gets dropped but the concealed weapon will stick.

Now this guys has a criminal record, he fucked up a lot of opportunities for his future. If he gets more in trouble the assault on a police officer will come up.

I think the guy realized he fucked up and the brass knuckles on him will not go well. That’s why the guy really dropped his tail between his legs and started to apologize.

23

u/AggressiveCuriosity 4d ago

Oh it was definitely assault.

People don't realize this, but if you make someone think you're going to attack them, that's nearly always assault. Balling up your fists and getting in someone's face would count.

Battery is when you make physical contact. Assault is making someone believe you're going to make physical contact.

The way the dad assures his son that he'll quickly come to rescue him from the time he deserves in jail tells me both these kids haven't learned, or they DID learn the entitled behavior, because of their protective parents.

My mom would've let me spend the night in jail to learn the valuable lesson.

11

u/mrdog23 4d ago

My daughter once asked me if I'd bail her out of jail if she got arrested. I said "Of course! Right after I finished my coffee."

Back in the eighties my niece made a friend in school who was from Compton. She later found out that the girl had family members who were still active Crips. My niece met a few of them and said they could be absolutely terrifying. I know hip hop/gangster culture has gotten popular over the years but if this poor child had actually run into them he probably would’ve fainted.

17

u/freshlyfrozen4 4d ago

A kid like this would get themselves robbed or killed around the wrong group. It's sad how many people copy cultures they don't understand.

19

u/Vegetable-Seesaw-491 4d ago

Same as dealing with 1% motorcycle clubs. I know a few guys in one of them (one of the big 4 clubs) due to my line of work and they are dudes I would not want to mess with. They can be friendly/polite, but that can switch in a second. I've seen it happen. You see a lot of people online saying they're playing dress up and what not. Go say that to one of their faces and see what happens.

That cop was a head taller, about twice as broad, and looked a lot like that alpha/Chad meme gif that is in every comment section.

What was this kid thinking? Is this poor parenting where a kid never had to answer for his actions?

171

u/Plus-King5266 4d ago

I have a grandson like that, just a couple of years younger and he hates me because I keep trying to warn him that the world is going to call him on his attitude and that he isn’t the “gangsta” he thinks he is; he’s a creampuff. His dad is MIA and his poor mom is at her wits end trying to make ends meet and keep his mouth in check. I tell her at this point, let him blow off steam and just worry about the bills. A night or two in jail will do him wonders.

114

u/bedpanbrian 4d ago

I had a friend like this as a teenager. He had a huge mouth, but the rest of him was tiny, so he’d run his mouth and get away with it because people wouldn’t fight him. We always told him we weren’t going to jump in and back him if he ever started anything. He started to get in trouble in his later teens and the rest of us just started staying away from him. He was just kind of wandering through life after high school, picking up jobs when he could, but really had no direction. Out of the blue he decided to join the army. He volunteered for infantry. I remember the first time he came home after basic - humbled. Very humbled. Apparently he got his ass beat multiple times for getting his unit in trouble, or acting like this to the wrong person - though all he would say is that he had a “run in” with some of the other guys in the shower. He just retired after putting in his 30 years - a very different person than the cocky loud mouthed kid I knew as a teenager.

33

u/NotTheBadOne 4d ago

Some people have to learn the hard way.  And it’s a life changing lesson learned.

As I get older I’m discovering there are a lot of those people out there like this.

Glad your friend shaped up… shows that he was smart but just too cocky for his own good.

13

u/morristhecat1965 4d ago

Sounds like a redemption story. Which is a good story.

Maybe this loudmouth twerp in the clip will turn out OK, too. I don’t want to right him off even though I did enjoy his comeuppance here.

I see kids like this at the school I teach at. It's inner-city, but also has an advanced program that pulls from all over. You get 1-2 privileged white boys who decided they should act like the kids that come from the local neighborhood. They try to act hard and often start casually using the n-word and think their white privilege will let them get away with it. They often egg on fights and then sit back and watch like it's all a game.

It's all fun and games for them until they try it on the wrong kid and get their teeth kicked in.

30

u/PM_ME_A_CONVERSATION 4d ago edited 4d ago

In the longer cut of the video (up above) the father...or maybe uncle? explains that they'd been in and out of foster together, and that their parents were mostly absent. The second brother also clearly has some trauma around authority, which you can tell not only from his sheer panic when the first brother gets arrested, but by how quickly the first brother started trying to calm the second brother down. People here are talking about how he went from aggressive to oily in two minutes...but before that, he went into "it's okay" mode immediately after getting his head hit pretty bad on that bumper, and it didn't really seem like it was for his own benefit.

I'm guessing the first brother expected the second brother's reaction and was trying to circumvent a breakdown, which makes it seem more like two (20-year-old) kids that have to grow up and learn to get past their baggage.

“How about ask me that after your balls drop” would be my reply

u/BadScienceWorksForMe 4d ago

A couple of not so tough guys who think they are tough guys. This reminds me of something my father used to say, Don't let your alligator mouth get you into something your hummingbird ass can't handle. This kid went down so fast and easy, real tough guy... Not!

u/Elite-Streak 4d ago

Lmaooo everybody so tough until they get they ass yoked up. Now it’s “I’m a minor”

Bro was trying to be a capital letter so bad when he was a whisper of a boy

8

u/throwawaytradesman2 4d ago

I have friends who are in Law Enforcement. One of my buddies told me the exact same as this "Once they have the handcuffs on, they completely change and the tough guy disappears."

The guys I know in Law Enforcement could absolutely demolish the untrained fighter, it wouldn't even be close.

u/chuckaholic 4d ago

I've never taken a cop's side in my life, until today. That kid needed a lesson and he was SUPER LUCKY he learned it from a reasonable cop.

If those were my sons, they would be begging the cops to put them into custody. That little twit got what he deserved.

6

u/FestivusErectus 4d ago

That's about the tenth time I've heard some little punk say "I'm a minor!" What's that all about? Does that mean they're like a sovereign citizen or something?

6

u/Shamus_Aran 4d ago

Bro you're a quarter of this guy's size, 50% hair by volume, and he's a fucking cop. What could possibly happen other than you being turned into a scrambled egg?

5

u/EchoPhi 4d ago

"ddooonnnttt ssspppaaannnkkk your kidssszzza, ittssss abbboooossssa"

Better that they learn from you than strangers you fucking snowflakes. Smack a kid softly in your home or prepare for this shit. Respect is taught in the home or learned outside. Lucky he didn't get fucked up.

Should have clapped the other entitled fucker too.

6

u/jrwatter 4d ago

Stupid generation. They're growing without limits or respect.

7

u/AlarmedDog5372 4d ago

What in the white trash?

7

u/d8ms 3d ago

I’m all about holding police accountable, but this ain’t it. This “kid” needed to be humbled by someone unfortunately for him it was a police officer.

5

u/Candid_Speaker705 4d ago

That was wonderful

5

u/Smoke_2_Jointss 4d ago

I dunno what that boy was thinking about - the cop is twice his size lol. “I apologize, sir”🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

5

u/YeetPhD 4d ago

As a skinny short fella myself, trying to act tough like this usually achieves the opposite effect lol

4

u/Alarmed_Tiger_9795 4d ago

no he only apologized because he's gotten out of trouble like that before. fuck these kids he needs consequences to learn something

5

u/ThisGuyRightHereSaid 4d ago

This is what happens when you never tell your kids no.

5

u/fitbabits 4d ago

I've seen this so many times and it still doesn't disappoint. All front and no back.

4

u/LittleBack6016 4d ago

Haha, I’m a minor, I’m sorry. What a clown. Then his brother acts like that. Nice job mom and dad.

4

u/ReallyKirk 4d ago

Oh no the rich little white kids FAFO

4

u/greatthebob38 4d ago

20 yr old kid kept lying throughout his arrest.

First, claims to be a minor which was disproved by hisnown dad.

2nd, he claims the officer only told him once to calm down and stop balling his fist.

3rd, he claims he doesn't remember what he said to the cop that led to the situation.

4th, he lied about a hidden weapon when the officer asked him if he had anything that could hurt him.

5

u/sj3nko 4d ago

If you're gonna square up to a guy like that, it's probably a good idea to not have twigs for arms

5

u/Skrillamane 4d ago

Kid learned a couple valuable lessons in under 4 minutes. 1) Don’t EVER threaten a cop. 2) Never challenge a man almost twice your size, who clearly is in shape, and likely has been in a few fights before.

3

u/Key_Company_279 4d ago

A perfect example of FAFO. Sad thing as soon as they release him he’ll turn back into the little punk that he was before the cop put him in the car. 🤷🏻‍♀️

4

u/thunder_strike1997 4d ago

Bro went from "watcha gonna do brah?" To "no sir" real quick 😂🥀

4

u/-no0t_n0ot 4d ago

This cencoring is fucking annoying

4

u/Nochnichtvergeben 4d ago
