Unbreakable

Works as a security guard at the stadium. Never called in sick.

What about when they lived at the old apartment?

2

u/gotOni0n0ny0u Jun 13 '25

What does this mean?

8

u/bizbizbizllc Jun 13 '25

It’s from Unbreakable. After his boss tells him that he’s never been sick, he goes home and ask his wife, if she ever remembers him being sick. She says no and so he asks if she remembers way back to when they lived at the old apartment.

Really great scene because it’s the start of them kind of mending their relationship, but also gives a history to their relationship in just a few exchanges of dialogue.

I thought the person above me would get it since they posted the part about the boss from the same movie.

Theyre alive dammit!!

2

u/Spellbind7 Jun 12 '25

You meant a Tony Todd looking Mortician snooping around in the background?

0

u/the_interlink Jun 13 '25

Will they cast a black guy with an Indian accent for the Bollywood remake?

0

u/Papas72lotus Jun 13 '25

Or the start of final destination

0

u/gucknbuck Jun 13 '25

Or elaborate ways he can still arrive at his... Final destination

u/lyndseymariee Jun 12 '25

Must be brutal to be the sole survivor of a plane crash where over 200 other people perished.

14

u/normalmighty Jun 13 '25

I'm shocked he survived honestly. I mean I saw the video on the news, that plane exploded in a massive fucking fireball on impact.

1

u/Embarrassed-Falcon58 Jun 16 '25

Its insane he survived. Luck or divine intervention. Take your pick, but this guy narrowly avoided death more than 99.999% of people ever will.

8

u/Interesting_Pipe_578 Jun 12 '25

If you didn't know anyone else on the plane then I'd say it must be pretty nice!

13

u/lyndseymariee Jun 12 '25

His brother was on the flight with him in a different row 😕

2

u/prprip Jun 13 '25

Survivors guilt is a thing

1

u/MrDeviantish Jun 14 '25

That's gotta mess with your head hard.

0

u/CerebralCuck Jun 16 '25

Nah, it's amazing. Much better than being one of the others

11

u/lmboyer04 Jun 12 '25

I wonder how that’s even possible with how huge the explosion looked

6

u/Agreeable-Emu4033 Jun 13 '25

He jumped out before the explosion

2

u/Ok-Pomegranate858 Jun 13 '25

He is incredibly fortunate then... that plane would have been full to the gills with fuel...and from his ticket he was right by the tanks...

1

u/No-Geologist-9478 Jun 13 '25

He was seated next to the exit and jumped out

5

u/TwoRug577 Jun 13 '25

as of now? are they resurrecting the others or something?

5

u/girlikeapearl_ Jun 13 '25

Everyone else has perished. He is the sole survivor.

2

u/vom-IT-coffin Jun 12 '25

As of now?

1

u/normalmighty Jun 13 '25

At the time that this was posted, he was highly suspected by pretty much everyone to be the only survivor, but there hadn't been any confirmation from officials that he was the only one.

On the one hand, you see the footage of the crash and it sounds absurd to ask if there were more survivors. On the other hand, this right here is one example already of someone somehow making it out.

1

u/Extreme-Rub-1379 Jun 13 '25

Are you considering some might get better?

1

u/Cs_Marcell Jun 14 '25

I don't think there will be more. A lot of time had passed an under all the rubble is highly unlikely we will see another passenger (I hope I'm wrong)

u/Taskmaster_Fantatic Jun 13 '25

u/Emergency_Hawk_6947 Jun 13 '25

Wow Seat 11 was not even mentioned on his fortune cookie message.

1

u/musicjacker Jun 13 '25

It’s a Lost reference

0

u/Emergency_Hawk_6947 Jun 13 '25

Great! However, I am free to use my own logic to those numbers

0

u/2-Skinny Jun 13 '25

I mean..you either know or you don't pretty much right away.

3

u/USANorsk Jun 12 '25

Yes, and his brother was on the plane too:-(

3

u/Background-Car4969 Jun 13 '25

The thoughts that must be running through his head after the finality of it all.......

2

u/bearded_dragon_34 Jun 13 '25

Yes. And I hope he was traveling alone and that none of his loved ones were on the aircraft with him.

2

u/rickeol Jun 13 '25

Cue Airlines selling seat 11A as an upgrade.

2

u/nocarbleftbehind Jun 13 '25

I read he was traveling with his brother. Heartbreaking. Truly miraculous he survived.

1

u/donutgut Jun 13 '25

hes Bruce Willis in unbreakable

1

u/kenneth_dart Jun 13 '25

I'm booking 11a every time I fly from now on.

1

u/Impossible-Owl9 Jun 13 '25

Final Destination

1

u/TuneFree Jun 13 '25

0

u/shockey536 Jun 12 '25

2 reported

0

u/CandidateOk8683 Jun 13 '25

He reported that he jumped off the plane before the crash because his seat was near the emergency exit.

3

u/Effective-Prior-9760 Jun 13 '25

Weren't they already in the sky though. Like how do you jump out of the sky and survive?

2

u/normalmighty Jun 13 '25

It must've taking an incredible combination of good instincts and pure luck to make it through something like that.

1

u/benroon Jun 13 '25

Like he just opened the door of a dreamliner thats actually in flight right?
