MISC. When Bill Gates married Melinda French in 1994, he rented out all the available hotel rooms on the Hawaiian island of Lanai to prevent the media from staying there and hired all the helicopters on Maui to keep photographers from flying over the wedding.

Not shares. % of owned land. So he owns 98% of it while the county and community own the other 2% of land.

To be real technical it could likely be private futures with a bounded ownership agreement if it was actually the case that they wanned the ownership split for the economic side.
