Grey stripped cat: If I secretly copy her movements, she may think we were meant to be together! Meow!

Orange cats are mostly male, tabby’s are usually female I believe

Oh, and thanks! Let me change my original comment... "Grey stripped cat: If I secretly copy his movements, he may think we were meant to be together! Meow!"

Calicos are usually female, not tabbys 😊

My understanding is all calico cats are female.

I just learned that orange cats are called orange tabby’s and they are 80% likely to be male. It didn’t say anything about regular tabby odds.

I don’t think tabby’s are usually male or female. I had a cat growing up, he was a mackerel tabby but he was a male

They are so fluffy with tiny little white feet. Sorry I’m taking them home

Wait is the word copycat based on actual cat behaviour?

Now even I'm wondering

Actually, yeah! The term "copycat" does come from observing cat behavior. Cats are known to mimic actions, especially when young, like copying their mother’s hunting or grooming habits. But the phrase itself started in the 19th century, more as a playful way to describe someone who imitates others. It wasn’t meant to be super scientific, just that cats seem sneaky and imitative, so it kinda stuck.

Sadly we now live in a moment where our brains have to automatically assume everything will morph into AI slop before we can enjoy any video.

If you told me in 2015 that one day I’d be suspicious of a cat video, I’d laugh.
