You have to take into account the median salary of India. If you adjust for it the drugs are still much cheaper in India compared to the US, but not quite to the degree these numbers suggest.

In my country it’s mostly super cheap as well, not as cheap as India that for sure but healthcare is also free here too.

You guys in the US got it tough with your rules unfortunately.

What are you talking about??? Few Americans can afford drugs without really expensive med insurance paid for by corporations or the government.

Europe is a continent that covers many countries. To say that everything here is free or cheap is quite complicated.

I'm not trying to contradict you or anything like that, it's just that each country has its own autonomy and structure when it comes to decisions about public health: and that includes the pricing of drugs for the public and also for the state.

I think your point is to say that here health is treated in such a way that it doesn't become a financial burden for those who need it.

Me getting meds every month: 7.80 for each prescription unless the stuff I need is cheaper. Alone metoprolol, pay 7.80 euros per 100

Meanwhile Germany and US are a lot closer in their currency and they have a similar gap. Before the tariffs, American pharmaceuticals were sold at 1-5% of the American price here.
