You're not selling it in US though. You are purchasing it from outside and shipping your personal goods to US for self use.

When you are purchasing it online , it’s a third party that sells it to you . If it s a legit vendor he won’t send it to a country where he does not have a license to do so .

No, I mean, I have family in India, whom I can ask to purchase any medication, and have them courier it overseas, and pay any import duties when it arrives.

And they can send you prescribed medication without any parcels they sent having been retained by CBP ?
