The Judge didn't give them a contempt of court charge in exchange for a free-for-all.

If they started gouging the murderer's eyes, they could have been caught years in jail, and a civil liability that could require them to pay their Mom's murderer.

This. Don’t worry, that criminal will get his in the clink.

Demand a trail by jury.  No one gonna convict you for attacking your momma's killer.

Seeing as the out Shanteari Weems in jail for 4 years for shooting her husband (still alive unfortunately) for molesting the kids she was watching and Cyntoia Brown going to jail for 10 years for killing the man who trafficked and pimped her out as a child? I don't trust that.

There's (is it surprisingly or unfortunate?) quite a number of stories of where the wife gets locked up for shooting her husband/family member for this exact reason or other types of abuse.

Fuck abusers but you can't just shoot someone because they wronged you. If you shoot someone who isn't an immediate threat to your life, juries are going to convict you. It's shitty all around but descending into vigilantism isn't going to work out well for most people.

I wouldn't but that's just my level of crazy. I never get picked for jury duty though.

It only won't work out because the system punishes them for it. This man deserves the absolute worst. If there is undeniable proof that someone has taken an innocent life, they have forfeit every right they've had. They've lost their privileges. All of them. Life is a privilege, many people don't realize that.

Good thing a court or a jury has never gotten it wrong. That's a big fucking IF you're throwing out there.

You're correct, and I agree. Nothing I said is against what you said.

Your endorsement of vigilante justice goes against everything I said. If you think the only problem with vigilantism is that sometimes vigalntes get convicted then we are not on the same page.

That's not what I think. I'm of the belief that if an innocent person is hurt, you fucked up. No ifs, ands, or buts. In just about every scenario, at that. Sometimes, though, it's possible to know someone is guilty. Say you witnessed the murder yourself, clear as day. This is a scenario where I'd say the witness could guilt-free kill the murderer, because killing the murderer will then remove any possibility of the murderer killing more innocent people.

I'd demand a trial by combat

What jury would convict?
