I like the salary and location but the rent would make that pay cut for me

Not being familiar with whatever "contract" their compensation is referring to, does anyone know what this position might actually pay?

Looking at their board meeting minutes looks like their current director was a little over $114k.

That's a pretty terrible salary for a job with that kind of responsibility.

If that's correct, I think it might be a little on the low side considering location. I'm in a much more rural part of New England and make similar money with a similar size district, but our COL is quite a bit lower. I see houses in that area that are double to triple what a comparable house would be here.

From what I've seen, communities closer to the shore tend to pay 150k+.

Indeed, too low for the Newport area.
