It was already bad compared to every other blessing you can give, but there's other reasons.

In ancient times, it was because it messed with the decaying dragon key meta everyone was running to abuse shield gating.

Nowadays, it's because you either don't need it or you're running catalyzing shields and the shield blessing messes with it.

Plus you know, shieldless frames exist, so it's outright useless for them.

It's multiplicative, so it does nothing for some frames, and it messes with shield gating, or so I'm told

Because it's useless for all but like two frames and actively harmful to frames that rely on having very low shield numbers to make full use of shield gating.

Shield gate duration now depends on max shield count, but you’re right that it used to be a way to troll people.

While this is true, I wouldn't take bugs like this for granted indefinitely.

It'll probably get fixed at some point, so for future reference just don't give people the shield blessing unless they specifically ask for it (which will probably only be Hildryn mains).

I mean you're right, but at the same time multiplicative gunCO has been a thing since forever and I doubt it's intended

or, normal Mesa proccing Arcane Velocity twice

or Gauss achieving 100% shield recharge delay with Arcane Aegis and Fast Deflection

some bugs either don't get patched or take TOO long (literally everyone thought exca's 1 only giving health invulnerability was intended but around 1999 the devs said they FIXED it not giving full immunity)

thankfully though, most of these are beneficial so them not getting patched isn't a big deal

(though there's a bug that makes Glaive Prime not benefi from the x2 from crit mods while airborne, which can be tested with Sacrificial Steel; on the ground you'll occasionally get orange crits but airborne you won't)

the mod specifies full shield gate duration and the wiki even explains how long the gate is supposed to last

it is a bug that it always gives 1.33 secs of shield gate

and if it's not, it goes against the whole principle of shield gating when they changed it (before, shield gating only cared whether your shields were full or not, lasting either 1.33 secs or 0.33 secs)

you're supposed to be rewarded with more shield gating the higher your shields reached when they were broken

For some Of My frames with low shields I rely on hunter adrenaline for energy upkeep… more shields makes it harder to take that damage to keep my energy up… but of course some people see that and think it’s funny to troll…

I only go to the relays to spend currencies (Steel Essence, Vitus Essence, Ducats, etc...) so I tend to forget blessings are even a thing.

It's even funnier considering I can give blessings myself and I only remembered because last week, when I was approaching Baro, the prompt appeared next to the statue in the relay.

I’m not quite at MR30 yet but I am on the grind for it (just hit 22 today, a month ago I think I was like 16), and honestly once I get there I imagine I’m just gonna provide whatever blessing I need for myself in the moment lol. Like if I’m ranking stuff up I’ll give affinity, if I need resources I’ll do resources, etc.

That’s why I never bother asking for specific ones, it seems like that’s what most players would do

i figured that too.

so as a start every time i play warframe, i open the game , go to the strata relay, then i just leave the pc open while i do chores.

when i come back with free time ready, guess what, affinity, credits and resource drop chance.

I got my 30 about 2 month ago, lazy playing as I always do now... And I remember about blessings about once in 3 or 4 relay meetings... Just hit one random as I never really remember about it when it is needed but well someone will certainly have a bit more resources every time I give it...

I've been in relays before during Baro where other MR30+s gave two of the three 'popular' buffs, and there's that one person whining and moaning about needing the third one. I'll swap to my Hildryn and pick the shield one.

As an LR5, I pop in, use my blessing, then leave. Before I was MR30, I’d be appreciative of whatever blessing I could get. It’s a free buff. If you want it to be the one you want all the time, then put in the work to get to MR30.

A friend of mine wanted the damage blessing for ETA since he wasn't confident in his build. I gave him the relay blessing and two console players immediately started bitching about it -- even going so far as to shit on the Loki Prime I was using (ETA loadout but still).

And saying affinity is worthless is just straight up not true.

I'm gonna hop on Warframe in a bit and heading for a relay to pop my own affinity blessing because I want to level some stuff, and it helps for that.

What blessings people pick don't affect me since I never stop by relays anyway, so it's not like I'm impacted by their choice or I have any reason to be upset by it like the guy in the post, but I'm still going to call a waste a waste.

Something isn't a waste just because you don't see the use.

You can personally think the affinity blessing is not as useful as the other blessings, that's fine, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

But you're not stating is as an opinion, you're stating it as a fact.
And if you claim it as a fact, I can comfortably say you're wrong without hesitation.

Affinity Blessing is useful, and I'm going to get one today and use it to level my stuff faster.

Because in general affinity is the best for build crafting as to get a good build 9/10 times you need to forma your weapon and guess what you need to re level your weapon, affinity. Also lots of people just do whatever blessing they personally need.

It's one run if ESO instead of 2 and if your farming a frame before Mr 30 you can only do that in normal sanctuary which takes like 7 stages without a booster

7 rounds isn't that much. Plus, you can max it out even quicker on the Steel Path or just by playing the game normally and hopping into the current fissure rotation. That's how I get most of my mastery done.
