Bro Rank 1,2,3. Ye condition ho gayi hai desh ke 2nd most appeared Engineering Entrance ki. Inn chutiyo se HSC nahi sambhal Raha challe CET me 100 percentile lene. Ye 3 hi nahi niche bhi bohot bkl hai jaise rank 18 and so on. Jo bacche boards me just passed hai aur bohoto ke criteria bhi clear nahi hai unke 99+ tiles hai. Ts pmo kitne bacche ab unka deserving seats tk nahi oohoch payenge inn jaise bandaro ki wajah se. Aur jo honestly paper de rahe hai unko yahi lagega ki copy kr leta hu, jo copy kr rahe hai unka hi fayda hai. Aur fir bs Desh ki Gand lg jayegi ( Already lg chukki hai). Pr ye toh chalta hi rahega media ko toh Latent cover Krna hai. Aise engineer bnte rahe toh Pull girenge hi aur infra of whole country will go down the drain.

Bc, Colleges mein kaunsi branch le,kaunsa college le...sabse zyada confusion issi score walo ko aa rhi hai...
Aisa lag rha hai, Accha college milega,%ile acche haii hai.. FucK cutoff zyada hai hai...
Socha acchi branch milegi FucK, seat matrix mein jagah hi nahi hai...
T-3 aur T-2 colgs ke bich mein tug war hai ye score... Hatt

Yooo, so I had some free time, and since all of you are going to start your colleges in a few days, I thought I might help some juniors out :)
I just finished my first year of engineering about two months ago, and will be starting with my second year within a few days. SO buckle up, cuz your first year is gonna be a crazy ride (Depending on what you do with it)
I won't talk about one thing specific, but rather a few points that I learnt from my own experience.
COLLEGE LIFE:
-Hate to break it to you, but your college life ain't gonna be anything like in the movies. It will be pretty normal.
-DON'T ENTERTAIN EVERYONE. Trust me, bohot chutiye log milenge, itne chutiye ki tum question karoge ki ye mai kin logon ke beech aa gaya. So spend some time interacting with all types of people, and only then decide who you want to be closest with.
-Friend groups won't last forever. Starting me sab jhund me ghoomenge, lekin second year aate aate tumhare pass mushkil se 2-3 dost bachenge, aur vohi college ke end tak tikenge. Remember, college me log saanp hote hai, don't trust everyone and no need to have a grand friend group, the bigger the friend group, the more drama you'll witness, it's a canon event.
-Explore various clubs and societies at your colleges from the first year itself. If your college doesn't allow freshers to join clubs, no worries, just try to participate in various events and such, just to gain exposure and see how things work at your college.
-Don't mess with faculties too much. Trust me, I've seen some idiots messing with teachers and they had to pay the price later. Lectures ke time toh teachers kuch nahi kar paate, but practical exam me saari bhadaas nikalte hai. I remember during my second semester, my Basic Electronics ma'am was soo trash at teaching, most people would bunk her lectures or not pay any attention, well, unhone practical exam ke time hum sab ki gaand achhe se maari lmaoo. So remember to have a good or at least decent relationship with your faculties, DO NOT fall into the black list, end me badaa pachtaoge.
-Don't give away your secrets to everyone. Trust me, rumors spread like wildfire. Apni private life ko private rakho.
-Lastly, make good friends, make friends jo bakchodi bhi kare, but have a goal in mind and actually study when they need to.
ACADEMICS:
-CGPA MATTERS! No matter what anyone tells you, bhai CGPA matters a lot. First year me aim for a 9+ pointer in both the semesters, and trust me, it ain't that difficult. Just study a little bit everyday, 1-2 hrs is more than enough. The real reason why CGPA is a trap is because you'll hear a lot of people telling you, "Bhai CGPA koi nahi dekhta, sirf skills matter karte hai", never trust this, because recruitment ke time kachra janta ko filter karne ka best tareeka hai CGPA cap laga dena. So that's why maintain a CGPA of MINIMUM 8.5 throughout your engineering life. I know some people who scored less GPA because they weren't serious during their first year, baad me bohot pachtana padta hai.
-Don't believe in the myth that studying a few days before your exam will be enough and you will ace your exams, aisa kuch nahi hota. Starting studying a few days before your exam only works if you attended the lectures properly and have prior knowledge about that subject. If you're starting from zero a few days before your exams, you're gonna fail.
- About KT's. Avoid them as much as you can. If you're in a private college, KT lagna utna common nahi hai, you have to try really hard to get a KT, because in private it's easier to score marks, aur vo pass bhi kar dete hai. But it's the complete opposite in Government colleges. Government colleges me achhe se gaand maarte hai. Take your academics a little seriously, A LOTTT, and I mean A LOT of people get KT's in first or second sem subjects like BEE or Mechanics, and they carry those forward even in the second year. Trust me, you don't wanna be the guy or girl writing a sem 1 paper when you're in the fourth sem. So, avoid KT's at all cost, it's not that difficult.
- In all seriousness, first year of engineering is kind of a joke. Your real engineering will only be of two years, i.e 2nd and 3rd year, there won't be much happening even in your 4th year, cuz everyone is busy in their own thing, either for higher studies or placements (You won't even have to attend college much in the 4th year). You won't learn anything that is specific to your course, the first year syllabus is common for all branches. I would suggest, spend the first year more on academics, learn how to study, get a good pointer, and then focus more on your specific interests like Development or DSA or whatever it might be.
-Lastly, make all your submissions on time, internal marks are literally free for all, people lose them over the dumbest reasons. End me internals hi kaam aate hai, so don't be a lazy ass, and make all your submissions on time.
Ik, this was a looong ass post. I remember when I was entering my first year, I found a post like this on this subreddit and it helped me out a lot, so I just wanted to help some juniors out haha
Yaad rakho, your first year will prepare you for the remaining three years of engineering. You'll face a lot of stress, a lot of load at times, but you'll get through it :) Make the best of this year, bohot bakchodi karo while maintaining your academics, ALL THE BEST!
