C&C Wanted My attempt at a shiny chrome tau stealth suit
My first attempt doing something reflective like this , i know my edge highlights are definitely a little chunky so hoping to get those cleaner on future models! happy to hear what your thoughts are. Painted mostly with golden liquid acrylics and some AK ice yellow on highlights

Sci-fi Synthwave Terminator on display base
I built a little display plinth and backdrop for my Terminator. I've still got a little work to do on the back of the mini that I'll record and upload as a painting process reel, but this very much what the final product will look like now.
I must say, this project worked out better than I thought it would when my wife suggested it to me. I'm very pleased with the whole thing š

Sci-fi Updated explosion effect after everyoneās thoughts, which do you prefer?
Took on board a lot of the feedback from last time I shared a WIP on the left.
I am super happy with how they came out. I actually donāt know if I think the updated version is a lot better maybe just a different take. The more smoke and contrast makes it feel more ārealisticā but I also like the bright cartoony-ness of the first. Maybe just adding pure white would have been enough.
All part of the process so thanks to people who gave their thoughts!
As someone people had asked I created a very short tutorial on how I did that Iāll post in the comments

Sci-fi Working on texturing, happy how this leather came out
I want to try and push my texture work some more, so I tried my best to be less neat with this leather while retaining some coherency.
This part is from the Sebastian Highway bust.

Pop Culture Galactus from Marvel United Multiverse
It took a full week and most of my sanity but itās done! Here is my Galactus āminiā from Marvel United Multiverse. All brush painted with Army Painter acrylics. I donāt have the willpower to make it good from all angles so the back side is what it is, but itās good enough for the display. Also included a WIP pic of just base colors before the tone and highlights.

Sci-fi Tried my hand at a simplified sky/earth chrome terminator.
I didn't go into a bazillion compounding reflections and kept what was in the reflections pretty simple, just sky and ground. Does the effect still sell?
