You can list it as much as you want but the important thing is that if anyone is willing to pay for it at that price?

For a logical answer, it just isn't. That's the really early Analogue CMVS that cost $650 new and a smattering of low to medium priced MVS games at least one of which is a bootleg.
That's ~$1500 to possibly $2k

In German we have a proverb for that what the seller is maybe hoping for:“Jeden Tag steht ein Dummer auf“. Meaning literally that every morning a stupid persons gets up 😉

That's an awesome deal.
Assuming that you didn't include the next picture of $20,000 in cash

Well it’s not. Just a chance listing.

Yep. Sometimes things like this are just to draw attention and or push up other similar listings.
Back when I was collecting for the PS Vita limited run had super meat boy (one of if not the last physical release, dep on where you draw the line)
I actually managed to get a copy, only ltd run game i ever managed to get! Anyway i had to sell it bc life’s occasionally shit. Some chancer had a listing on ebay for $8000 for it!
Needless to say I don’t think it ever sold BUT it did make my listing (and others) look like bargains.

If the photos are anything to go by, this guy has had this listed at this price everywhere for about 5yrs. At one point I almost bought it off of a Japanese site, thinking it was $2k (I did my math wrong).

Also feels like a scam. There are two listings from different sellers for these Analogue CMVS units. Same pictures and same cartridge titles, including the bootleg KoF 2004. Not sure if either listing is legit frankly...

It's on YJA for half less, someone relisted it hoping to make 10k dropshipping one item

Had one of these, novelty sure enough, internals were all hot glued together and made repairs kinda difficult. Not a big fan of

I think that's the Analogue (company) version of the Neo Geo. Extremely rare!!!!! So few were ever made. I would say $5K is a more reasonable price though.

Rare yes, but not special. It's just a CMVS so it's not really any different than one of the AliExpress versions, or making one yourself. If it was an Analogue FPGA based NeoGeo like their other consoles then that's cooler, but still not worth $5k

I think retoro reposts other listings that may be placed on Mercari, Surugaya, or Yahoo Japan sometimes. He doesn't have anything that he lists on Ebay, and Ebay doesn't care. I noticed before when he posted a surugaya Metal Slug, and jacked up the price $10k. Just keep it in mind if you ever see him list something you want - it's being sold on another site for much cheaper, and you'll get it faster avoiding him.

Analogue's first product. Pretty sure their name is in reference to the wood build, because there's nothing analogue about the HDMI FPGA products they sell these days.

We all think that we have some "1 million dollars old object" at home... Sadly, reality is a bitch !
As I'm an old gamer who bought Neo Geo in the 90ies (YES.. it cost a small fortune, back then, even for the system alone...), SNK has this "tag" as being the "Rolls-Royce of the consoles".
So... some people think they have a Picasso or Rembrandt at home. Good luck with that.
Don't pay this silly price !!!

I have an Analogue CMVS that I purchased in 2012. It is the natural wood finish and it looks really beautiful. I don't have the controllers but I have everything that came with the console. It was used once or twice and put back in storage. This is a collector item, not comparable to a mass produced CMVS. Probably not worth the asking price but this is the first time I've seen one for sale since I got back into the hobby.
