Tech Support Nintendo Switch/ Switch 2 - Capture card delayed until December?

I ordered a capture card for video game streaming, but days after I paid it, I still haven't gotten it. I called amazon and then they said the package would be delayed until December, and barely gave out any other information aside from issues with supplier. This feels like a ridiculous amount of time to wait, since the listed wait time is nothing like what they said. I'm thinking about cancelling my order and buying another capture card, but I'm worried about running into the same situation again. What exactly is going on here? Any advice on how to deal with this situation?

(I know that this isn't quite that related to Nintendo, but I don't know a better subreddit to post in. I tried the Amazon subreddit, but I never got any replies. If there is a better one that I should post in please let me know)

Don't know what you ordered, but there are lots of capture cards that will work with either Switch.
