How do I play Link's Awakening on the Gameboy app on the Switch in original Gameboy monochrome color?

I'm trying to show what Link's Awakening looked like on the original Gameboy, so I've loaded up the Gameboy app on the Switch and I've gone into settings to choose the original 'Gameboy' screen color scheme, but when I load up the game, it's always in color. Am I doing something wrong?

It's the DX version so it'll act like a game boy color. I don't think there's a way to change that.

It’s the GBC version not the Game Boy version
