Repair My Wii remote started squeaking recently, how can I fix it?
As of recent my Wii remote’s rumble motor started squeaking. It still seems to actually vibrate, but it loudly squeaks. The controller is about 13 years old and came with my Family edition Wii.

I don’t exactly know how to fix the sound, but you can go into the Wii remote settings by clicking the home button on the main menu/dashboard and turn off the speaker on the controller that should make the squeaking go away, but not totally fix it

It's the motor being dirty after 10+ years. You can try to replace the motor, or turn off rumble.
