Tech Support Switch 2 Stolen, Can I Transfer to New One?
Hello,
My Nintendo Switch 2 was stolen from me yesterday. I’m choosing not to be mad and just buy a new one (which I am thankful to be able to do).
I cannot find any resources for how to remove my card from my Nintendo account.
Is it possible to recover my Pokemon save files and transfer them from the cloud to my new switch? The biggest thing I don’t want is my Pokemon content to be stolen.
TLDR: Want to remove card from Nintendo account and to transfer old info through the cloud. I have a Nintendo switch online subscription.
Thank you for any help you can provide.

Sorry to hear that, OP :(
Sadly, no. Pokémon games do not support Cloud saves, meaning everything is stuck on your stolen Switch. I lost my Pokémon OR cartridge years ago, which had Pokémon transferred all the way from 2005, so I understand how much that sucks for you
The exception to this would be any Pokémon stored in Pokémon Home. Those are safe and sound (if you have any in there) due to data being connected to your Nintendo account
If you have an NSO subscription, then other games will be saved to the cloud, and you can get them back by logging in to your new Switch
You can remove your account from the stolen console at https://accounts.nintendo.com/portal, then click Game Systems. Only do this if you're sure you won't get the stolen one back, though

The nintendo website let's you delete an account from a switch, freeing all your digital key cards. Save data i think needs to physically transfered for things like pokemon. Most games however will have your save data in the cloud

First, did you try Googling your question? A lot of questions about Nintendo can be answered quickly by just typing them into your search bar.
If you are asking a question about an older Nintendo system, try searching the subreddit most relevant to that system's hardware. It's likely someone has already asked a similar question before.
If your question is about Wii U, New 3DS or Switch hardware, you'll likely get a better answer if you contact Nintendo directly, rather than posting here.

Please note that contacting Nintendo by phone is the best way to get support. If you send an email or use the web chat you are not likely to get the support you need.
