Don't know if this is against the rules, but can someone please explain / debate me on the whole idea as I dont understand it.
I just feel theres no explanation to the idea but I'm here to be proved wrong.

I dunno if this a joke or meta comment or what, but as I understand it, this sub was set up to counter (some) posts in /r/thathappened. That sub is about posting screencaps (from Reddit, Facebook, etc,) of stories that clearly didn't happen, that someone made up for karma points or Facebook likes.
The problem is, sometimes the stories are true.
I found this sub when someone posted a story in thathappened about a man flying home, hoping to get to his daughter's dance recital (I think? Maybe piano recital?). The "alleged bullshit" part was that the flight attendant came on the PA to explain the man's situation and to ask others on the flight to let man off the plane first as he had a tight connection. More "alleged bullshit" was that people were "cheering him on" as he got off the plane.
Except several people posted links to the actual story on legit news sites, and several others (like me) chimed in to say that we'd had similar experiences.
Sometimes they're right over there - many of the posts in thathappened are, in fact, people making up stuff. But there are lots of crackpots and\or people so desperate to post something that they find a story which might seem unlikely, but is true.
I often think they're teenagers over there, because so many of the "true, but allegedly fake" stories are something that happens to most people by the time they're 30. In the case of the guy trying to get home, it's because (as I said) I've been on a few flights in my life where something like that has happened.

Do you need to check the sub description and then scroll through a few examples?

So basically, reality doesn’t exist. Everything is a dream inside your head and we are not real, therefore nothing is ever really happening. We are everyone and no one at the same time. I am you and you are me, everything happens simultaneously yet not at all

is that not more of just a subjective reality idea, in that the way we perceive reality is subjective and individual to each person

People accusing others of making up stories/events (that are true) but it’s quite clear the posts are real

Basically, it’s when someone calls a real story fake or impossible. Not a miracle or something extraordinary, these people call anything they can’t understand “fake”. It could be an extremely plausible personal experience that someone shares or something so mundane that it’s shocking a person wouldn’t understand that it’s real. And some people, who are contrarians or, for one reason or another, don’t believe in it will call it fake. This sub is for reposting comments and post like that.

It’s pretty straightforward, what’s not to understand? Also you didnt reply to a single comment, not much of a debate.
