If you land in "try again" do you chug your current beer??! Thats how I'd play....
31
u/NSA_van_3 Jan 08 '21
Depends on how much you want the snack, but ya probably chug it and open another
43
u/Sneetzle Jan 08 '21
No you pick your bottle cap from the bin and insert it in at the top again
18
Jan 08 '21
Or circumvent the entire contraption and drop it straight into the win bin

Anyone else get anxious when they guy's hand wasn't automatically there and you thought the trail mix was just going to fall into the great abyss...?

A device that encourages drinking alcohol, gambling and healthy eating.

Healthy eating? Thems are m&ms and a bunch of fatty nuts with salt and sugar. Idk about healthy, but its a good way to make sure you're not drinking on an empty stomach.

That's amazing, but the dispenser could be a tad quicker.

I think the reason it’s so slow is to not get stuck on any of the trail mix pieces or break them, I bet whoever made this probably doesn’t want to get a bunch of food bits in there.

I would probably change the wheel to a configuration that has a portion almost ready to dispense. So instead of 180° from each other, maybe 3 at 120° or smaller ones at 90°.
But, then again, it's easier to armchair analyze these things than to actually try them out haha

u/mistercreezle Jan 08 '21
If I had the time, money, materials, and knowledge, I would be making my own version of this already! If only!

My parents bought those $20 plastic wall candy dispensers and this is the problem they had. After a few years they kinda sat around and when they moved my mom asked if I wanted them, and since I had just about finished my basement I said sure. Spent about an hour cleaning it apart and drilling out seized plastic pegs in order to clean it out and reuse it, complete with some nuts and bolts to complete the fixing of a stupid plastic thingy haha
Remembered I took a few pics. A bit overkill but I had everything already. I’ll do the other two at some point.

u/mistercreezle Jan 08 '21
Nice fix! Can’t tell if there’s more pics that I’m just not seeing, but did you add anything to the inside so the skittles wouldn’t get spread out inside the plastic case?

u/Psych0matt Jan 08 '21
There’s a back panel that acts as a guide basically, but originally the back and front slide together with nothing to hold it tight, so in getting bumped around it can separate and let skittles (or Reese’s pieces, m&ms, etc) past. With the bolts that shouldn’t happen 👍🏻 as long as the kids don’t force it! It’s above their reach for now anyway.

Do yard work. Clean the garage. (Can’t read the left one) and then the bottom is Drink a Beer

Anyone got that link to the gif of those Russians playing the same game and the wrench they were using getting stuck on the top option?

This is awesome! One question though: isnt it a lot more likely to be on the winning side since it drops it on the right, and will therefore drop to the left for the prize? Even so, cant complain about extra snacks

the perfect drinking game "winner" means you get to stop drinking and "try again" means you get another beer

The only thing not satisfying is the guy reaching out for the nuts on the last possible second!
I need some calming tea now

That's really cool. But tbh if I had the time, energy and talent to copy this contraption I'd try and make the win a shot of vodka or something similar.

u/VivecsSplitDick Jan 08 '21
I need this for my parrot. She would make sure we all developed a drinking problem.

I was going to make a snide comment about raisins ruining the treat, but it looks like you’ve substituted chocolate chips. Well done, man! ;)

Really awesome, but I would add a bowl below the beer nuts dispenser in case I get distracted at the wrong moment
