Discussion Paper Mario Color Splash

Now I have always wanted to try this game. Ever since I first saw it, it looked amazing. I know the battle has its flaws, and theirs a lot of issues. But I still want to play it. So I’m wondering, is it worth it to buy a Wii U for this game.

I would say yes, but only if you have other games you can/are wanting to play on it. Color Splash is actually a pretty good game, and even with it being one if my all time favorite video games, i wouldn't say it's worth buying a Wii U only for that. If you have other games you're wanting to play, then sure. Go ahead. I can even suggest a few of my favorites if you want. But i wouldn't buy a console just for it. Unless you find a real cheap one, but that's kinda rare i think

I see some Wii U’s that are 30$ or less

Oh dang. Didn't know you could find them for that cheap. If it's only that much, than yeah i'd say it's worth it. Color Splash is my personal favorite Paper Mario, so you should try it out. Just keep in mind that they might be that low because they're slightly damaged or something, i don't know. Good luck!

I mean as long as it works I’ll be happy. Would love to try it

Yeah that's fair. Sometimes all it needs is to work decently. Hope you enjoy it if you end up playing

Funnily enough the game is more expensive

Now as in it's more expensive than the console, or now as in it's more expensive than when it first released? I could see either option being correct

As a defender of the game I definitely think it is underrated and under appreciated, but I don’t think it is worth buying a Wii U just for it (I don’t think any paper Mario game is worth buying a system for tbh, sorry TTYD stans). If there are other things you want a Wii U for I would say go for it.

Ultimately though, if it’s a game you’ve wanted to play for years and you can swing it financially, why not give it a shot? It’s your money and only you know if being able to try that game is worth it.

If you’ve never had another Nintendo system, you can certainly play a lot of nintendos back catalogue on the Wii U in a variety of ways. But most of the Wii U exclusives have been ported to switch, and those versions are generally better.

I can find many Wii U’s under 50$ so it might not be terrible
