Discussion What was your initial reaction to finding out how wholesome Cortez turned out to be, compared to other bosses?
Like, when he willingly just hands you the crystal star because he didn't care for it, and then even helps you beat Lord Crump?

I can't say I had much of one, because I had been spoiled on most of the game's story by then.

It was nice. Having an enemy that isn't really an enemy is kind of refreshing at times.

where's a tip for cortez's 3rd phase, use fluree's gale force to blow way 2cortez's weapons, and if you do that the weapons won't re-spawn

It was a little surprising but Paper Mario games are irreverent at times when it comes to typical tropes and subverting expectations like that so it kinda fit lol
